Central University of Punjab is Situated in Ghudda Village & 22 KMs away from Bathinda

The University is situated in a Ghudda village that is around 22 KMs away from the main city. It also holds a 40th rank as per NIRF under ‘Law’ category. It is genuinely great for Science and all the other departments. A student will definitely grow a lot in every possible sense, be it academic, and be it psychologically.

One major reason for me to choose this University was the specialisation being offered by them in my degree. I am enrolled in Masters of Law specializing in technology Law. To take admission, a student needs to clear exams like CUET-UG for Graduation, CUET-PG for Masters’, and UGC Net for Ph.D. Then seat is allocated based on cut-off and merit list. examinations happen throughout the semester.

The fee structure varies from course to course. It has to be paid semester wise. Discounts are provided to students who belong to reserved categories. Other scholarships are also available. The fee structure is affordable because it is a Central University.

The faculties of all the departments are highly qualified. All of them are quite experienced. They will provide all support for your ideas and academic ability. Classrooms are equipped with smart boards and projectors and these are major methods of teaching adopted in the University. The classrooms are open for discussions and cross-questioning. Another method frequently used by them is presentations and explanations. Teachers encourage students to present their topics and assignments.

Yes, the University provides residential facilities. Hostels are separate for male and female students. There are two hostel blocks for both. One building out of the two is separately kept for Ph.D Scholars, whereas the other is for students of both UG and PG. All the UG students are offered hostel accommodation. For PG students, hostel seats are provided on merit basis, people holding merit in CUET. Common washrooms are there on both the ends of each floor. Facilities of 24-hour water, electricity, Wi-Fi, and lift are available. Attendance register has to be signed mandatorily at 10 PM. Hostel fees is minimal. Talking about the mess, they are not attached with the hostels, but they are situated nearby. Food is good, flavorful, and hygienic as well. As per my review, if a person has the skill to manage trivial issues, no major problems are faced within the campus.

The University is active in all sports and tournaments. There is a canteen and a shop to purchase stuff. Library is open till 2 in the morning. The campus is safe and secure. Classrooms and library are fully air-conditioned & both provide access to internet. Porta cabins are set-up as additional classrooms. Campus is widespread up to 500 acres. Electric rickshaws run inside.

Overall, I am having a mixed experience with this University. No place is perfect. You will gain a lot, but your patience might be tested a well. Many activities happen through the year. Celebrations, conferences, competitions, functions, parties and sports, you name it. You will meet people from all most every corner of India and international students as well. It is a balance of fun and labor.
