About Faculty & Facilities at PVPIT Pune

Overall Rating
My overall experience at this Institute has been great. Faculty is great and very supportive towards students. Academics are taken really seriously to maintain the reputation of the Institute. An internal hackathon is conducted every year where a huge number of students participate. My overall experience is good but I believe there is a lot of scope for improvement. One thing I like the most about Institute is the support of faculty members and the way they encourage their students to learn new things.
 

Academics Rating
Academics are the most important thing in this Institute. Practical & lab sessions happen regularly and sincerely. There is strict deadlines for assignments submission. Exams are conducted frequently which makes sure students are studying regularly. Mock semester exams are conducted before every semester exam.
Fee for Engineering courses is around Rs. 1,15,000/-. However, they have increased it to Rs. 1,30,000/- (this year). Government scholarships are available for EWS students. Private scholarships are also available & it is based on academic excellence and family income of the students.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty members are really good at PVPIT Pune. Professors deliver the concept really well and are involved in updating the syllabus as well. Faculties encourage students to learn new skills. They make notes of their own and provide it to students so they don’t have to spend another hour making their own or skimming reference books for exams. Blackboards and PPTs both are used for teaching. Teacher-student ratio is 1:75.
 

Placement Rating
Placement Cell is present in TSSM's Padmabhooshan Vasantdada Patil Institute of Technology Bavdhan. They actively conduct several activities for students to explore and actively learn new things. There are guest lectures, webinars, boot camps conducted. Other soft skills such as group discussion, public speaking are also encouraged. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and so on visit Institute for placement. Placement opportunities can vary and depend on the branch, eligibility criteria, and placement year.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel facilities are available at PVPIT Pune. There are several rooms’ available and up to 4 students in one room. I'm not a resident of the hostel so I won’t be able to provide much information, but based on what I know- there are no as such recreational activities. Girl’s and boy’s hostels are separate. Mess food can be improved. Non-vegetarian food is available on the weekends. Going out of the hostel for outing requires parental permissions for safety reasons and gate closing timing is 9 PM & after that you cannot go out.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Institute campus is small and there is not much to do around campus. There are 3 buildings, 2 are for Engineering and one for BCA & Pharmacy. Campus is located at hill side and is in relatively isolated area, and there aren’t many shops, cafes or other places to hangout nearby. Classrooms are relatively big and have smart boards installed. Seminar hall is present however library and ground are relatively small. Canteens are present as well. Transport facility is provided to day scholars and fees are based on the distance. Labs are well maintained and have all the equipments which make it ideal for learning.
 

Campus Rating
Overall campus life is very average. Institute crowd is nice. Peers are not that supportive. Clubs are present but still evolving. Only 3 to 4 clubs are present. Engagement activities are present, students are sent for International-level competitions. Annual fests are conducted s. All the festivals such as Dandiya, Ganesh Chaturthi, etc. are celebrated. My overall experience has been average in the Institute.
