Gujarat University Ahmedabad offers Admission in Over 372 Courses across 65 Departments

I've graduated from the Gujarat University. My experience there was not only memorable, but also filled with practical learning as well. At first, I chose this University because it was the nearest from my home location. However, gradually it became the University that I needed the most. I was topper in my School until 12th Grade, which made me want a University that is not just hosting extra-curricular activities but is also academically strict. That is what I appreciate about this one. From holding essay-writing competitions to organising talent shows, it provides approaches holistic education.
Here are some crucial points from my experience at Gujarat University Ahmedabad:
• The University offers admission 372+ courses via ‘Merit List’. The procedure is further followed by submission of documents.
• It offers quality education & is valued for enabling academically strict environment.
• Faculty members in the department are quite knowledgeable and aid students in doubts, assignments, and also offer incredible support beyond academics.
• Infrastructure and campus of the University is also well-maintain comprising spacious classrooms, peaceful library, parking space, conference hall & more. It is quite clean and has an extensive greenery.
• At the University, students are provided with several opportunities to take part in sports tournaments, talent shows, festive celebrations, NSS activities, and many other events.

In the University, there are more 65 departments & all these departments have 372+ courses at distinct levels. I opted for Bachelor's program in Commerce. It is a Government University, so admissions were based on a merit list. I had to fill the form on its official website, attach the document, get the call letter, and submit it at the University premises. There were total 6 semesters, during which there was 1 internal exam per semester and 1 external / University exam in a year. The faculties prepared us very well and guided us throughout our journey.

The fees structure was different for boys and girls. The cost of books was excluded and needed to be arranged by ourselves. There were no extra charges.

The facilities were absolute gems. They didn't just teach us the subjects but also helped we see the world with different lens. They did their part really well. They used to solve each doubt of ours without giving any negative response. They used to feel pleasured by solving our doubts. Sometimes when we forget to submit the assignments, they even used to remind us beforehand. Not only in academics but they also guided us in life.

The infrastructure is really well maintained. Not to exaggerate but in reality, the cleanliness in the University premises is top-notch. The classes are so big and spacious to make students sit comfortably. They have a stage, podium, and the mic facilities for the convenience of faculties. The library is also too quiet and spacious to read & learn peacefully. Gujarat University, Ahmedabad also has an auditorium, a conference hall, and a big parking lot for parking vehicles. My favorite thing about my campus is the trees bearing colorful flowers in and around the parking lot and the greenery.

The overall campus life was incredible at the University. There were so many students in my batch, from different background and streams. There used to be so many extra-curricular activities where all the students from different streams used to gather in the common area and enjoy the events altogether. That was the best part for me, where everything used to be done with a team spirit. There were sports, games, competitions, seminars, NSS activities, food fests, celebrations and much more, other than academics.
