Srinivas Medical College gets the job done. Registered in 2011 the college provides all that you need to become a doctor nothing more nothing less with batch strength of 150. Patient load is minimal and being a specialty hospital it has adequate amount of modern machine to help learn. Compared to other government medical college you will have to put more efforts to acquire clinical skills. Don't choose it over government medical colleges but this college will give you enough to become a good doctor. Academic staff is supportive and eager to teach. In total it is an above average place to complete your MBBS from but as I said it GETS THE JOB DONE.

Entry requirements: 12th pass with PCB Eligibility: NEET qualified MBBS is a course of 4.5 years with 1 year of internship. The whole course consists of 19 subjects which are divided over 4 years. The subjects are divided into group like preclinical, para clinical and clinical. Comes under RGUHS University. The subjects are Anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pharmacology, pathology, microbiology, community medicine, ophthalmology, ENT, Medicine, surgery, orthopedic, pediatrics, dermatology, radiology, OBG and psychiatry. If you want to join for MBBS course then there should be a will within yourself that you want to become an MBBS doctor otherwise it's a hard course to crack. Batch strength: 150.

One of the benefits of having a private college is having good facility. They are adequate amount of professors in each department which will help you get through exams easily. All of the teachers are post graduate in their respective fields and have adequate caliber to impart quality education. At the end in MBBS course is most about what you read on yourself professors can just provide with the overview of the subject. Overall they have a good set of faculty which will meet all your demands. Most of the teachers are very passionate about teaching and will take a fantastic class. Apart from the normal teaching session they also take up small group discussion which is very inside full and help us to understand the concepts much better.

Coming to placement reviews in MBBS there is nothing like placement. After getting out of MBBS course you will have to look for job yourself. Given that there are lot of Government job vacancies always popping up for MBBS graduates. But in Karnataka if you are on government seat then you have to serve one year of rural service. This is a standard practice across all the medical colleges in India. Coming to the aluminous network of the college they are some respected surgeons and clinicians which will help you get placed into job.

Yes residential facilities are available in the institute. They are separate hostel for boys and girls. 2 sharing and 3 sharing rooms available. They have adequate facilities like power backup attached bathroom and small recreation area. Mess is also attached to the hostel on the ground floor which shows all 3 meals of the day. The food is fine, not good not bad.

Coming to the infrastructure of the college it is average at best. The hospital has a good infrastructure. College building consists of 3 floors. All the departments have been allocated adequate space equipped with their own labs and demo rooms. There is a canteen on campus inside the main building. The main building is also used by other allied courses. The college also has a well stacked library which has all the required books and quiet study space. The medical college campus also has the Srinivas Hospital and Srinivas Engineering College. The hospital as all the speciality OPD facility available along with a large number of beds.

The college campus has no gardens, no proper playing space with no grounds or indoor stadium. There is no space inside the college to hangout with friends. The campus crowd is mixed between MBBS, BDS and allied health course students. Students are mostly from Karnataka and Kerala. For the medical college the yearly fest is known as CHAISAMA. Which is a mix of cultural, sports and co curricular activities. Compare to other colleges like NITK the fest is underwhelming. You can easily visit Mangalore and Manipal which are 20 and 50 km respectively.
