The institute is well-equipped, and more importantly, NMC recognised, has better teaching facilities, better patient exposure, a feel like home, a protected environment, and an enormous time and peace to build yourself. The hostels are also good as compared to other institutions, the mess is also okay. Students coming from states other than Haryana can have issues with the choices of food available. It’s an all-girls institution for the MBBS course, hence the parents might get happier. The institute is in a village area, has a big campus, and has 1500 bedded hospital with multiple specialties in the same building which is a perk for the patients and everyone. The institution is well connected to nearby places like Gohana, Rohtak, Panipat, and Delhi via direct buses. All in all, it’s a peaceful place for MBBS.

MBBS admission at BPS GMC involves counseling based on NEET UG score and rank, it’s 15% through All India quota and 85% state quota (Haryana candidates), including reservations for BC- A, BC -B, SC, ST, EWS, Ex-servicemen, PH, and NRI. I think an all-India rank of 4,000 – 8,000 can fetch admission to BPS GMC. MBBS is a 5.5-year course, including 1 year of mandatory internship. Currently, Haryana has a bond of 5 years and Rs 30 Lakh post-MBBS. The fee per year is around Rs. 85,000.

The faculty at BPS GMC is great, better as compared to other institutions, they are supportive, they take classes regularly and the majority come to teach, not to just read the slides. Half of them are eager to teach and find innovative methods to make students understand, including crisp notes for revision. Clinical teaching also exists but it’s more of PG students teaching the UG students and not the faculty. The important point is some are strict but they usually don’t detain you and even the pass percentage is usually 98%.

Yes, hostels are provided to every student since day 1. During 1st and 2nd years, you get a room with double occupancy. After that, you get a single room till the internship. You have to change your hostel every 2 years, as they have a system where they have 3 hostels, one for 1st year and 2nd year, the second one for 3rd year and 4th year, and then the intern hostel for interns. The hostel life is the best part of going to college, it feels like home. You study together, you eat together. The infrastructure is all good, the rooms are a bit small but not congested, and you are allowed a cooler in the summer. No other appliances are allowed but obviously can be kept secretly. Hostel timings are till 9 pm, and no restrictions for interns. Recreational activities are dependent on the residents of the hostel only, we have a common room, AC, refrigerator, and a TV, but no such set recreational activities, you decide a day, you install your speakers, you order food, and then you can party.

The infrastructure of the college is okay, spread across 88 acres, we have 1 medical college building having non-clinical and pre-clinical departments, then lecture theatres complex having 4 LTs, currently no auditorium is there, then we have a well-equipped library and reading hall, then we have a hospital building, all centrally air-conditioned. For residential blocks, we have 3 UG hostel blocks, 5-6 JR hostel blocks, and then the faculty blocks. The campus has a ground for sports and a sports complex for yoga/exercises and games. The campus is all green.

The overall campus life at BPS GMC was 4/5, always beautiful, the crowd at this place is mostly from the villages of Haryana, so yes rude language and behavior there. A yearly fest Umang is organised, it’s a 7-day treat involving sports, culture, academics, and many more. Other engagement activities include non-governmental organisations like the National Medicos organisation which organises medical camps, and conferences, and keeps students close to their nation and ethics.
