BVM is the first engineering college of gujarat

Overall Rating
I chose this college because my merit rank was high. Admission process of this college is very easy for me because of ACPC rank is very good for this course. You should check the ACPC website for the application form and the fee structure. The admission process is very lengthy so it can possibly take 1-2 weeks to finish the application.

Faculty Rating
The faculty to student ratio is 25:1 which is good enough. All the faculty members are highly qualified. Most of the faculty members are Ph. D. holders. In my college two mid-term exams and one external exam is conducted.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, our college has a training and placement cell which is very active in our college. All of the student become eligible for campus placements in the 7th sem. Many companies visit every year like Reliance, Infosys, TCS, Adani, etc. The highest package is around 18 LPA and the average package is 5 LPA.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure of our college is very old. Our college has 7-8 blocks. All departmemts have their separate blocks which is the most important thing about the campus. Structure is innovative because all blocks and buildings have large spaces and gardens. Each department has personal laboratories.
 

Campus Rating
In our college, a fest is organised every 2 months named Udan. Another fest is called Genesis and the name of the tech fest is Project Expo. In our library all engineering books are available for the student at zero cost. You need to have a library pass and you can go to the library and scan the pass and you will be eligible to lend the books. In our college so many sport tournaments are conducted.

    Overall Rating
    The first major advantage of computer engineering in BVM is that it is GIA. Therefore, fee structure is very low compared to self financed colleges. Other benefit is that it is Gujarat's first engineering college, established in 1948, so the alumni network is very large.     Birla Vishvakarma Mahavidyalaya is one of the best engineering colleges in Gujarat. Also, it is the first engineering college in Gujarat. It is a reputed college and my overall experience is excellent; for learning purposes it is so great. Its library and sports facilities are very good.     Overall experience of my university was good enough. The Campus is not that large but it does disappoint us in terms of placements, teaching, and the overall environment.     As the college is 3 tier, I can say it was average. But it can be listed in top 5 government colleges in Gujarat. It had below average placements, above average academics and not so good extracurricular activities. But what I liked most about the college was its location.     BVM turned autonomous the year I joined and a good GUJCET score will make your way through this college. The college is 70+ years old and therefore safe to say that the oldest engineering college of Gujarat in BVM. The IITs too started post BVM as it started the year we got our independence and the foundation stone was laid by none other than Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
