University Five year law college famously known as UFYLC is one of the leading and reputed law colleges of Rajasthan. This college is situated in the main campus of University which is a great privilege for us because except us there are all the Postgraduate departments only. My reasons for choosing this college are because of its reputation which is created by our seniors and very good placements in various companies like Google and big law firms. If you are a CLAT aspirant and didn't get a chance for NLUs yet you wish to study in a government college then you can definitely choose this college. Rajasthan University is also quite famous for its student politics and those students who want to make their career in student politics, then no college is better than this.

UFYLC offers only 1 course that is BA LL.B (Honors) which is of 5 years. There is a semester scheme in our college which means that you will have 10 semesters in 5 years. Apart from this college authority conducts 14 weekly tests out of which 7 tests are compulsory for every student. The semester result is calculated on the basis of external and internal exams. External exams are of 50 marks per subject while remaining 50 is of internal marks. Now internal marks are evaluated on the basis of attendance, student's conduct, average of weekly tests, viva – voce, and participation in activities. On every Saturday there is an activity day which means college organizes activities like debate, speech, extempore, and many more. The classes are conducted on a regular basis. For admission all you need is to crack RULET (Rajasthan University Law Entrance Test). The paper of RULET contains 150 questions from English, Legal Reasoning, GK and Current Affairs, Quantitative Aptitude, and Logical Reasoning which is of 300 marks. There is no negative marking. After exams there will be a Group Discussion and a Personal Interview. At my time GD and PI contained 30 marks but nowadays it is of 100 marks. The result is evaluated on the basis of marks scored in entrance test and the performance in GD and PI. The entrance paper is quite medium so we can say that cracking RULET is not a big deal. Today in the world of complexity there is higher need of legal knowledge which can be given in a better way by this college.

The teachers are good but I tell you honestly that here mostly teachers are working as guest faculties which makes it quite difficult for students because sometimes teachers leave in between the semester, which is a negative point for this college. There is a lack of permanent teachers but the guest faculty also teaches very well.

I can clearly say that there is no placement cell in this college but the most important thing is that this college provides you great opportunities. Our seniors are too good and very supportive.

There is only girls’ hostel available at UFYLC. The hostel is situated in the college premises only. The most important thing is the college fee as this college is self financed college of University so the fee is around Rs. 45,000 per semester.

As this college was established in 2008 so our college building does not have a very traditional look as other buildings of Rajasthan University but classes are fully furnished with ACs. There are library facilities also available here. There is only one room which contains projector facility while the other rooms contain white board. We have a Moot Court room and a seminar hall also. The beautiful thing is that we have a huge campus. There are 2 canteens in the campus, one is the main canteen and second is exclusively girls canteen.

As I earlier mentioned campus of our university is too big. The beautiful area of our campus is the sports complex. During rainy season the environment of campus is quite impressive. As due to political activities the campus is full of posters and vehicles of different leaders. The most memorable thing of our college is the events. This college provides various opportunities for participating in many fests. The world famous fest i.e. Ghoomar is also conducted by our University.
