True review of Allahabad Degree College

Overall Rating
My overall experience was average in college. The college staff behavior is too rude and ignorant which is a major issue. Instead of that, all other things are fine. If you are taking admission just for study, then maybe you will have a good experience here. For BA course girls' and boys' colleges are different.
 

Academics Rating
If you do not understand Hindi too much, then you must avoid taking admission here. As my subject was ancient history, the professor used to teach and provide notes in Hindi, for students like us who were going to give their exams in English has to do a lot of hustles because of lack of guidance. So, consider this also.
 

Faculty Rating
Here you will get in touch with some very knowledgeable professors, and they will teach your life lessons along with your course. Most of the professors will share their stories and also, they will guide you to a better future. You need to be approachable, and you should work hard too. This is also a positive point. But also, some of the people are not supportive at all.
 

Placement Rating
Don't expect placement. Not from here and from any other college or university. Because you are not going to get a job by just doing a Bachelor of Arts.
 

Hostel Rating
I don't have any idea as I used to live at my home.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The college campus is small. A big portion of it is covered with wild grass, so we cannot go there. There are some classes and some lecture halls. In lecture halls, at least 150 students can attend class at a time. Also, there is an auditorium in which various kinds of events and competitions are organized.
 

Campus Rating
I visited my college just last year, due to COVID-19, the college held all the lectures and classes online. Online classes were not well organized and helpful, but they still tried to provide the best guidance from their side. In college, sometimes due to class timing, you have to miss one class and attend another.

    My overall experience was average as I don't like the management and teaching style of some professors. Also, the mindset of people is also not too good. But here you will get to see lesser politics and political issues, in comparison with other colleges under the University of Allahabad.
