Sage University Indore is known to be one of the most promising and renowned private universities in Central India. The university was established in 2017 by the Sagar group of research and studies. It is approved by PCI, AICTE, and recognized by UGC. The university has an international tie-up with Harvard Business School to focus on entrepreneurship, which is currently one of the most emerging fields for today's generation. Once you meet the university's given requirements (which is different for different Institutes).

The admission procedure is quite straight forward. You are required to submit your necessary documents such as TC, Migration certificate, mark sheets of 10th and 12th, etc. The college management is excellent and student-friendly. When I visited my college for the very first time, there was one teacher who assisted me throughout the entire college tour. He also explained the details about my course and the college, which I personally think was the best part.

I am currently pursuing B.Sc in biotechnology at SAGE University Indore, and so far, the experience has been great. The admission procedure is simple; a minimum aggregate of 55% in physics, chemistry, and biology is required in your 12th passing examination. After the given requirements have been qualified, you have to take part in the university's entrance examination known as SEE, which is of moderate level. The fee structure is also justifiable and varies from department to department. I don't have much knowledge about the scholarship provided. In case of any queries related to admission procedure and examination, a separate group of teachers is appointed for your help. I had a keen interest in academic research since I was a kid; this is the main reason why I had chosen to pursue B.Sc in biotechnology.

Sage University has provided us with an encouraging environment for research as it is equipped with well-furnished labs. We have regular industry visits, workshops, guest lectures, educational visits, etc., which helps us with a lot of exposure in our field. Subjects being taught are in accordance with the global trends. One of the best things about the academic structure is that we can opt for a different subject from any other department in addition to the compulsory courses.

The faculties here are well experienced and are very friendly. Most of them have a Ph.D Degree with a minimum of 3-4 years of teaching experience. Our Head of the department is very frank and has a friendly nature. He calls for regular meetings to assess if the classes are being conducted well and asks for regular feedback regarding our courses and the appointed professors. He takes immediate actions based on our feedback, and from the very next day, we don't have to face the same problem again.

We also have regular interactive sessions with our seniors to help us with certain topics or things we are struggling to deal with and help us overcome that. In addition to teaching, the faculty members focus on personality development as well and try to have a one to one interaction with students, even in the zoom classes. Overall, faculty members are excellent. However, last but not least depends on us how much knowledge we can extract from a teacher.

As this university was established in 2017, the placement statistics are not very clear yet. But as far as my knowledge is concerned, the minimum salary package ranges from Rs. 3-4 lakhs for an undergraduate in my field.

Faculty members are earnest about our training sessions and take regular interactive classes of mock interviews. The communication skills classes help us to develop a more self-confident mindset.

There is a separate hostel for both boys and girls inside the campus. The hostel can accommodate around 300 students. You can either opt for a single room or a shared one according to your convenience. The option for selecting an ac or a non-ac room is also available, and the rent varies likewise. Hostel rooms are well furnished with wi-fi service and with a proper supply of water.

Everything is somewhat fine except the fact that the college is in the outskirts of Indore so, the primary market is a bit far away from the college. Security is very tight, and you have to be in the hostel till eight no matter what the condition is. Food is also somewhat good and is provided three times a day, and the food charges are included in the hostel rent.

My college has an insightful infrastructure with the most exotic views from outside since it is located a little higher level from the ground, in the outskirts of Indore. It has a well-furnished library that can accommodate around 120 students at a time. The library is equipped with hundreds of books and journals for one to read. The college has two auditoriums and one seminar hall, with a seating capacity of 1500.

Every function is celebrated in the main auditorium, either it is republic Day or guest speech. Bus facilities are also available for students coming from a distant area. The college also has a cafeteria for students to chill. The environment of college is very peaceful and good to study. The college has also provided a sports complex for indoor and outdoor games and has a gym. The overall infrastructure is unbeatable and favorable for a student to study.

The best thing about studying experience in SAGE is that you can explore your inner talents along with your academics. We have a separate club for extracurricular activities known as the student activity cell. It has five major sub-groups for the different fields of interest, and you can choose accordingly. Every festival is celebrated with joy and enthusiasm either it be holi or Christmas.

Every year we have annual fests, and famous celebrities are being invited. Some of them who have already visited are Himesh Reshamiya and Aishwarya Rai. Along with the celebration of fests, our university also offers social activities. There is a regular visit to slum areas for the donation of food and cloth and even to NGOs to provide help if needed.
