Indian Academy Degree College B.Sc Review By Jayadithya

Indian academy degree college is located near hennur cross, Hebbal road Bangalore. This college is good to study B.Sc and M.Sc in life science stream as it has all the facilities and equipment in the labs. At first, I thought this college is useless due to its infrastructure. But the crowd and campus life made me feel like I'm in home and after that I never felt that this college is bad. The main reason I chose this college was, this the only college which provided the combination I needed, that is genetics and biochemistry majority of the students studying here come from North India and different states helped me to mingle with people who speak different language.

The course curriculum makes the students prepared for industry with practical exposure and regular industrial visits. There is no entrance examination for admission in this college. Any biology student who has passed his or her 12th class can apply for B.Sc in life sciences. Students who have secured more marks in their 12th can get fees concession. The main reason students choose this stream is to become researchers or scientist.

There is minimum 5 teachers for each department. 2 or 3 among them are doctorates and have more than 20 years of teaching experience. Faculty teaches us using PDF notes and PPT through projector. They dictate notes to us which are very important, faculty hold regular quiz and tests to test our understanding of the subject.

College is not that big, there are 2 academic blocks one for BBA, B.Sc., BCA, and BCM. It has only one basketball court and all the programs are conducted there, the sports equipment is also less. Annual sports meet is conducted in different ground There are practical labs for all the required subject and 2 seminar hall, open hall, canteen, and stationary shop is present in second floor of campus.

There are more than 3000 students in bachelor's degree in our college. There are 2 major fests which take place in or college, one fest for each semester. SPECTRUM is the intra college fest and YUVTARANG is the inter college fest. Ethnic day is celebrated 2 days before SPECTRUM. There will be club hours regularly every Saturday based on their streams.
