SVNIRTAR or Swami Vivekanand National Institute of Rehabilitation Training and Research, is a Central Government run university and is funded by Government of India. And it comes under Ministry of Social justice and empowerment. For this reason, the fees are very low compared to other colleges. And our college also has reservations. And also, it is one of the only four colleges under Ministry of Social justice and empowerment.

Although SVNIRTAR offers 6 different courses I will review only about my course here. I am doing Bachelor of Occupational therapy (B. OT). Personally, I chose Bachelor of occupational therapy because it is newer in the medical field and is in the blooming phase. With time the requirement of this rehabilitation will Total number of seats in a batch is 62. Once a year Common Entrance Test (CET) is there. Securing rank in Common Entrance Test (CET) is the main requirement. Every year more than 10 lakh student applies for it. Eligibility is aggregate percentage in Physics, Chemistry and Biology should be more than 75%.

Each course has on average 6-7 faculties. All of them very experienced and qualified in their respective fields. The faculties here are award winners and honor holders. Dr Subrat ku. Haldar is one such professor who has received award from Dr A.P.J Abdul Kalam sir himself. All in all, the faculties are very much experienced.

The college offers campus selections after the courses and the packages are also good. The average package in occupational therapy is around five lakhs. Even for a fresher who just passed out. And the scope in this field is very big also.

Yes, the college has residential facilities. There are three residential building for the students. Two for women and one for men. The hostel life is great the mess provides three-time food daily for price of around three thousand. Infrastructure is good. Gym, playground, halls, security are also there.

The campus can be divided into four buildings. We have the main medical building; it is of three floors, 100 bed medical building with ground floor as general OPD, 1st floor as different departments like Department of Physiotherapy (DPT) and Department of Occupational therapy (DOT) and a modern digitalized Operation Theatre (OT). The top floor has cabins and nurse station. The other buildings are a new 500 bed annexure building, and two hostels.

Our institute celebrates many fests around a year and the grandest is the Foundation Day. Renowned DJs are booked and the whole college has a three-to-four-day fest. With food fests, fashion shows, different activities in which even the professors take part. And all around the year the college hosts different sports events.
