Shushila Devi Bansal College of Technology, Indore, like any other private engineering college it is not in main Indore city. It is near Umariya village about 20 kilometers from the Indore junction. The college is quite nicely built. The college use to provide bachelor's degree in engineering but they will provide bachelor's in technology degree from 2021. The college is associated with RGPV University, one of the largest in Madhya Pradesh.

The admission process is quite simple as you need to go with your school documents and JEE mark sheet and they will enroll you and send you for verification for which college provides transportation. The college management is very good.

I was pursuing engineering in civil department and there is no such eligibility criteria for the courses, you just have to submit the JEE mark sheet copy. The main reason I joined the college is because it had a lot less fees as compared to the other engineering colleges. Although it has low fees still the course was up to the expectation. There is no compromise in the field of academics. Bachelor's degree in engineering is a professional degree and surely helps you to get job.

There are almost twenty faculties in each department including the head of department (HOD). I can't tell the exact figure but there would be minimum 80 faculties overall in the college including the lab assistants. Some teachers are 2-3 years experienced and some are very experienced in their fields. The faculties are very good in behavior and teach us with great responsibility.

Placement is provided in the college. The training and placement cell of the college bring both technical and non-technical companies. Many multinational technical companies like TCS and Tech Mahindra comes for mass recruitment. And many non - technical companies like Byjus recruits too from the college. And placement cell also bring the core companies for students who only want job in core companies of their branch.

No hostel is provided by college. All the out station students had to manage on their own. I was an out station student too. So I used to live about 4-5 kilometers before the college, there is place called Rau. Maximum out station students live there as a large number of private hostels and room on rents are available there.

The college campus is quite big but I can't tell you the exact area. The college consists of three buildings, one for CS & IT, one for civil and last for the mechanical and EC department. One indoor badminton court is built on the top of the civil department. 1st year students use to sit in the first building as it is quite big. The classrooms are big enough for 45 students. A library is present in the college where you can find all the books that are taught and also fictional books.

The college has a cafeteria where I would suggest you to eat only Maggie. And a store for basic needs like files, papers, pen, photo copies, Xerox, prints out etc. It have a wide number of college buses which are free of cost and covers every area of Indore as well as some neighborhood cities up to 65 kilometers.

The overall campus life was good as the interaction with the seniors and different branch students is quite good. If you are a fun loving person I would not suggest you this college. This college only focuses on the academics of the students. No fests are celebrated except tech Fest which obviously boring. Once you attend a Tech Fest, you won't go again. There are no clubs in the college. So if you want a college which only focuses on your academics, then this is the right college for you.
