Standing in the lap of nature, this institution, established in 1962, boasts a campus that can only be described as a verdant oasis. Later in 2014, under government reconstituted as Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology Gorakhpur. Ever since, the college got university status, it has witnessed unprecedented growth in every aspect. The sprawling lawns, adorned with lush greenery, extend a warm invitation to all who step within its hallowed grounds. Within this academic haven, the classrooms stand as bastions of knowledge. The recent expansion project has birthed a grand academic edifice adorned with an array of spacious lecture halls. The multipurpose hall, a masterpiece of architecture, serves as the nucleus for an array of events.

I'm enrolled in Electronics and Communication Engineering. I got admitted in the college through MET (Malviya Entrance Test) in 2020. The college is no more conducting this exam, and all the seats are filled with JEE mains score. To be honest, I was not interested in ECE branch. My score was not enough to get into CSE or IT then I had to accept this branch. But trust me, now I don't regret on my decision. ECE in MMMUT is best branch. Students from this branch are eligible to apply for IT sector companies as well as core which are not available for other branch students. This year, the college has introduced a new branch Electronics and Communication in IOT (ECE-IOT).

Faculties in the college are very humble and supportive. The illustrious faculties, many of whom hail from the prestigious IITs, serve not just as educators but as mentors. Their guidance extends beyond the classroom, always ready to aid students in their academic journey. It's noteworthy that some classes are graced by guest faculty—PhD research scholars, who bring fresh perspectives to the academic discourse.

In our college, there is Placement and Training Cell working day in day out for providing opportunities to its students. The institution's Training and Placement Cell is a harbinger of success, with the highest placement record reaching a remarkable 52 LPA at Google. The average package, a testament to the quality of education, hovers around an impressive 7.25 LPA. Placement for CSE, IT and ECE is very good but for other branches placement record is very bad. Most of the students from Electrical, Civil, and Mechanical and Chemical branch opt for GATE, Government Sector or higher studies.

The college has residential facilities as well. There are 5 girls’ hostel and 11 boys’ hostel. Talking about hostel, they are not very good neither very bad. I'll say they are average. The reason being most of them are very old. Some new hostels are also being constructed. The hostels are fully Wi-Fi covered.

The campus infrastructure is a marvel unto itself. Each academic branch boasts its own dedicated building, while a new academic edifice, resplendent in its grandeur, takes shape. A state-of-the-art central library offers a tranquil haven for seekers of knowledge. An auditorium, currently under construction, promises to be a cultural epicenter, and indoor gaming facilities cater to diverse interests.

However, it's not all academics here; life on campus is an exhilarating journey. Countless clubs and societies, including departmental and cultural clubs, breathe life into the institution. The annual Technical and Cultural fests are the pinnacle of campus festivities, culminating in unforgettable DJ nights.
