Overall Rating
Kolkata Medical College is one of the oldest medical colleges in India. It is one of the top 20 colleges in India. It is affiliated to West Bengal University of Health And Sciences. If you want to get admission in this college, you must have to clear NEET UG examination with good ranking.
 

Academics Rating
For doing MBBS from this college, you must clear NEET UG exam. You must get rank under all India rank 4000 and state rank below 100. MBBS is very Nobel profession.
 

Faculty Rating
Kolkata Medical College has professional faculty for the academics. There are 352 total teaching and non teaching staff including the laboratory technicians. They are good experienced teachers. They teach us well, and they are all very good doctors.
 

Placement Rating
You don't have think about the placement if you are in MBBS course. You will get well paid internship after 4th years. Around Rs. 25 thousand. After doing internship, you can do house staff ship for 1 year getting payment of around Rs. 50 thousand. You prepare for MD after MBBS or you can do government jobs and start your own clinic.
 

Hostel Rating
There are total 6 hostels in our campus. 5 for boys and 1 for girls. The boys and girls hostels are separate. The hostel fee is 144 rupee per year. And there mess faculty in every hostel. You have to spend around 1500 rupees per month for food but it varies. The quality of food is good. And you will get security through all of the campus.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The college campus is about 26 acres in area. It has total 39 departments include anatomy, cardiac, dentistry etc. It has 1 main building and another one for classes and another one for practical. It has total 6 hostels and also have library and auditorium. It also has 2 canteens. One in ground floor for doctor, staff and patients of ratri nivas and another one in the first floor of the girls hostel. But it does not have so called play ground in the campus but you can play in GCR maidan.
 

Campus Rating
College fest known as Rhapsody organized every year. It is about of 7 days of programme. It includes a lot of competition. For the student there is a student welfare society. If you have problem you can contact them.
