Adamas University B.Sc Fees Structure 2026 & Admission Process, Kolkata

I have chosen B.Sc (Hons.) in Biotechnology. It has many opportunities in many fields and has adequate job opportunities. Eligibility criteria for admission in biotechnology is 12th pass with Science stream. Admission takes place through a test called AUAT (Adamas University Admission Test). Direct admission is also available on the basis of merit of higher secondary examination. Each semester consists of one examination, that is, the end semester examination. Continuous assessments via PowerPoint presentation, assignments, projects, and class tests are conducted throughout the semester. The course curriculum is very relevant and helpful to prepare for real life challenges in industrial sector.

The total fee of B.Sc Biotechnology (non-NEP) is Rs. 4,40,000. The fee per year is Rs. 1,40,000 and that per semester is Rs. 70,000. During admission, I had to pay admission fee of Rs. 20,000. I chose B.Sc honors in Statistics and Data Analytics as my course for Under Graduate degree. The sole reason behind my choice of this course in this university is its uniqueness. This course is offered by the Adamas University only among all the West Bengal. It's a three years course providing integrated knowledge in Mathematics, Statistics, machine languages and various operations on data. There are 20 seats for the course in the university. Students, who have 50% aggregate score, above 60% score in Mathematics and have had English as a subject in their 12th board exam, are eligible to apply for the course. Adamas University Admission is done on the basis of AUAT entrance examination rank. This three years course provides knowledge on 20 subjects in total. The final two semesters contain one internship each in reputed institutions or industries. The internships are very helpful in gaining theoretical as well as practical knowledge about corporate functioning that enhance the skills and efficiencies of the students. The classes are conducted with utmost individual care and attention. The professors keep regular track on the student's progress individually. This course offers vast placement opportunities to the students. Campus placements are done every year for the students of final semester, where the number of seats in the course being low, the competition remains smooth.
