Army Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology got established in the year 1996. It started with the support of the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES). The main aim of starting the institute was to provide high-quality education in the field of hotel management and catering technology. In order to broaden the field of the hospitality industry, the college started providing education in the field in connection to the international hospitality industry. The Institute is having affiliation with Bangalore University and it has received approval from the AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education).
