Rama University Kanpur Hostel Fees: Rooms, Food & Rules

The Rama University hostel facilities are provided separately to the male & female students within the premises. A multitude of residential apartments (students’ hostels) including ‘Raman House’, ‘Girls Hostel’, etc. are there wherein the rooms are allocated to the students on 1-seater & 2-seater basis.

The residential spaces of the Rama University are well-equipped with fully-furnished rooms, mess, and other necessary recreational amenities to provide a home-like stay to the students. The Rama University hostel fees range from Rs. 65,000/- to Rs. 3,46,500/-.

Students who wish to avail the residential facilities of the University should collect the application form for the same from the Admission Cell / Hostel Office. The Rama University hostel facilities will be given to the students on a first-come-first-serve basis by the hostel warden.

Faculty of Nursing:

It is mandatory for the students enrolled in the B.Sc (Nursing) program to avail hostel facilities. Whereas, for other Nursing courses, hostel facilities are optional. The annual hostel fees is Rs. 90,000/-.

Faculty of Ayurveda:

Faculty of Allied and Healthcare Sciences:

The Rama University hostel fees for every academic year for the boarding students of this faculty is Rs. 90,000/-.

Faculty of Dental Sciences:

All students of the Dental Sciences faculty are allocated rooms with an attached washroom. However, the annual hostel fees differ depending on the course & room occupancy opted by them; the information is mentioned below:

Faculty of Medical Sciences (Rama Medical College):

* For the abovementioned Medical programs except for M.Sc, mess charges are included in the hostel fees. Also, for some of the MD courses at the Faculty of Medical Sciences, the per-year hostel fees may differ.

Note: In order to avail accommodation facilities of the University, students have to deposit the requisite fee within 15 days of registration. The students residing at the Rama University hostel should know that certain rules and regulations are specified by the hostel authorities that they must adhere to; some of those are mentioned below:

• Ragging in any form is strictly banned inside the residential premises. If found indulging in any such activities, the defaulters will be punished under law.
• Students are not allowed to change / exchange their allotted rooms without the permission of the warden or hostel authorities. Students violating this norm will be expelled from the respective hostel.
• Moving the furniture or damaging the same is not permitted. Also, in case of any damage or loss of furniture & fittings in the residential premises, the requisite amount shall be recovered from the concerned boarders and may result in their expulsion from the hostel.
• If hostellers are found to be wasting water or electricity at the accommodation spaces then an applicable fine will be charged from them.
• Smoking, and consumption of intoxicants, liquor, drugs, hookah, cigarettes, and possession of fire-arms, lethal weapons, obscene articles, etc. are not allowed inside the hostel. Students found violating this norm will have to pay a penalty and face serious disciplinary actions against them.
• The Rama University Kanpur hostel curfew timings are 6:30 PM for girls and 8:00 PM for boys. For repeated offence, disciplinary action will be taken and hostel privileges shall be nullified for the defaulters until and unless they have taken appropriate permission from the warden.
• Hostellers are allowed to meet their parents, local guardians, and relatives in the visitor’s lounge during the visiting hours only after due permission of the warden. Additionally, it is not permissible to any of the visitors to enter the room of the resident or else requisite fine shall be applicable.
• Keeping 2-wheelers and 4-wheelers inside the residential space is not permitted.

The Rama University hostel rooms are available for students with and without AC and in single-seater & twin-sharing accommodation options. In addition to this, pre-packed & pre-prepared snacks, soft drinks, tea, and coffee, to name a few are available.
