Located in Ranchi, Jharkhand, the Amity University was established in 2016 as a State Private University. The University is a part of the Amity Education Group.

Note: In every subsequent academic year, the fees will be increased and it differs for the ‘Sponsored’ category students. Also, during the admission, students have to make the payment of Rs. 20,000/- as a refundable academic security deposit.

* For postgraduate courses, students who are yet to clear the final year of qualifying examination can apply for admission in the University. However, such students should align with the eligibility criteria till the last semester and should not have any back paper.

Admission Process

The selection process of the University is based on the following aspects:

• Marks in the Qualifying Examination.
• State / National Level Entrance Exam (For some courses)
• English Language Test
• Group Discussion /  Extempore / Personal interview

*The University also conducts program based Written Test / Creative or Physical Test if it is required.

Along with this, direct admission is provided to the students on the basis of following criteria:

• For UG Courses: Must have minimum 80% aggregate marks in the Class 12^th in current or other acceptable year.
• For PG Courses: For those students who have completed Graduation from the University itself in the acceptable academic year, subject to meeting the minimum eligibility criteria for the program.

Note: Direct admission under the UG programs is not applicable for the Architecture / Design / Education / Fine Arts / Fashion / Law and Physical Education discipline.

• For B.Tech Programs

Fast track admission and scholarship on the basis of JEE Main percentile can be availed by the students who want to get admission in the B.Tech programs:

* Students should know that this scholarship is not applicable for the continuation in the subsequent year.

• CUET Scholarships

* Along with the above-given scholarship (except 20%), students can secure direct admission in the UG programs. The 100% CUET scholarship is not applicable to B.Tech CSE and Bachelor’s programs of Psychology discipline.

• For PG Programs

Scholarships under the PG programs will be provided to the students once they enroll in the course after the verification of the requisite documents:

Along with this, 25% scholarship under MBA program is offered for the students who have obtained below-given percentile / score in the specified entrance examinations:

• CAT: More than 75 percentile
• MAT / GMAT: At least 500 score

Note: Students should make sure that there is not a year gap between Class 12^th & Graduation.

Special Points to Consider

In terms of scholarships, there are some key points for the students to understand and the same are listed below:

• Scholarships will be granted to the students in the 1^st year of the program. Furthermore, continuation of the same in the subsequent academic year will be governed by the scholarship policy.
• Under all categories, the scholarships are limited and awarded to the eligible students on a first-come-first serve basis.
• Scholarships offered for UG and PG programs, the aggregate of 12^th Standard will be calculated on best 4 subjects including English + 3 academic subjects but excluding Physical Education / Fine Arts / Performing Arts / Vocational / non written subjects.
