In the year 1996, the Oxford College of Physiotherapy (OCP) commenced operations. The OCP is situated to Bangalore that is the capital city of the Indian state of Karnataka. The College is privately-run and a co-educational one. The College has affiliation with the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. Moreover, the Government of Karnataka has approved the College.
The Indian Academy of Pediatrics has accredited the College, as well. More so, the IAP has awarded 4 National Awards to the OCP in the past 7 years, under the Best Paper category. Besides, for providing quality education, the International Accreditation Organization has accredited the College. In addition to knowledge dissemination, the College is engaged in community service to NGOs and Government agencies, too.
The College comes under the grouping of the Oxford Group of Educational Institutions that was set up during the year 1974, with the patronage of the Children’s Education Society. Presently, they are 32 institutes under the Group, offering programs in over 85 disciplines. The Group’s Founder Chairman is Shri Narasaraju who spearheads the Group’s functions. Over the years, he has been working to empower society members through education, thereby contributing significantly to the country’s knowledge sector.
