I passed out from IIMC in 2017 and was not much satisfied but studying and working alongside the best people of the industry was a great experience. I am proud that I am IIMCian and also have nostalgia but I would like to answer some of the most researched or talked about questions in my review. Why one should do journalism? Often, we say journalists are boring or this is not how journalism should be done. Why don’t you come and change it then? Things won't change unless people step up and that was one of the main reasons for me doing mass comm. I will be honest as I was fascinated by the influence and power that media has today. If you have expectations of earning a high package or have a passion to write something new and fresh then get into journalism. In the diploma, there are 4 specializations and I did PR & Ad. The course is not even a 12 months course; it’s actually a 10 months course. If I again be honest then I would say, I felt like I am on some picnic with assignments to be submitted in a specific timeline.Read Full Review

The Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) New Delhi is a media institution for budding journalists. It falls in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting under the Government of India. It is a premium organization in the country that provides a platform for young graduates who aspire to take up journalism as their career. The IIMC administers different courses through which it provides Post Graduate Diploma (PGDM) degree to the students in a 10-months course which is divided into two semesters. It provides training to the civil servants who UPSC examination in the previous year. Simultaneously, it offers various courses for foreign nationals as well. The campus is a fair place to gain exposure and gather experiences altogether. It holds a mixed crowd of students from all over the country coming from different fields of education.

The administration has a process through which students undergo written examination, group discussion (GD), and personal interview. The panel prioritizes diversity in the batches. Therefore, it includes individuals from different walks of life with entirely distinct backgrounds. The strength of the class would vary from 50 to 60 pupils depending on the course.Read Full Review
