With the wholesome saying by Mahatma Gandhi, “Educate a man, and you educate one person; educate a woman, and you educate the nation” as their motto, University Maharani College was established in the year 1944. It is a Government Educational Institute which provides higher education to young women in the fields of Humanities, Management, and Science. They believe that students can’t be judged based solely on marks, grades, and qualifications. The students leave the campus as dynamic and impactful citizens. Students are encouraged to participate in a wide array of opportunities that exist way beyond the four walls of classrooms.
Reputed NAAC accredits academia. NIRF and UGC also recognize it. The academia is affiliated to the University of Rajasthan, and it offers various undergraduate courses in Arts, Science, and Commerce stream. Admission to these programs is based on merit.
The central library is one of the oldest and coveted libraries in all of Jaipur, and it is well stocked to the brim with books, bound volumes, and Journals. It is rich with many old and new versions of Encyclopedias. It also consists of many biographies and autobiographies of great thinkers, academicians, philosophers, scientists, social scientists, and economics, etc. The library has the complete works of Swami Vivekananda, Rabindranath Tagore, The Rig Vedas, and International Encyclopedias of the social science; Economy Survey, Cassell’s Encyclopedia of Literature, etc.
It also comprises of various magazines and journals covering all the subjects and issues. The library also has many informative Journals and Books, which are crucial for the preparation for Government and competitive exams. It also has a reference section and a separate research cell that has all the necessary research material and almost all the themes like articles, Journals, reviews, gender-related issues, spiritual, religious, law, science, arts, Humanities, theatre and IT & Computers.
Management of the institute is strict when it comes to punctuality. Students must have a minimum of 75% attendance to appear in the examination.
