Symbiosis Skills and Professional University

A Placement Cell has been formed by SSPU Pune. Its purpose is to professionally train the students and develop their overall personality. The students are facilitated with Internship opportunities so that they can gain adequate industrial exposure and enhance their chances of employability. Moreover, the cell has corporate connections with several companies and invites them to take part in the SSPU Pune Placement drive.

A few of the training activities that are organised to provide placement assistance to the students and to develop their skills are as follows:

The corporate partners of the University are Godrej, Tech Mahindra, Fiat, Mercedes-Benz, Lakme, The Taj Mahal Palace, Tira, VLCC, The Economic Times, The Times Group, Utkarsh Small Finance Bank, Malabar Gold & Diamonds, Raymond, Shoppers Stop, Deloitte, TCS, Wipro, and the list continues.

The campus of the Symbiosis Skills and Professional University (SPPU) is developed over an area of approximately 15 acres of land. Students can connect to the Wi-Fi across the premises to study from online resources and learn collaboratively with fellow classmates.

The classrooms & lecture rooms of the University are air-conditioned and can accommodate 60+ students. These are well-equipped with modern & interactive teaching tools like projector, smart board, etc. to provide a participatory learning experience to the students.

Ramps, hand rails, and many more infrastructural facilities have been constructed at the SSPU Pune Campus for the physically disabled students to provide an inclusive learning environment to them.

The academic and non-academic amenities offered by the University are covered in detail below:

• Library: The University has an automated central library that is spread over approximately 1830 square metres of land. It has a vast compilation of study resources such as books, journals, periodicals, newspapers, magazines, and so on in numerous disciplines.
  In the digital library section, around 15 systems are available along with Wi-Fi connection that can be used by the students for research and online learning purposes. Beyond this, facilities like a capacious reading hall, reprographic services, reference section, etc. are provided to the students.
• Laboratories: Inside the premises of SSPU Pune, a central computer centre is available that comprises various computer labs having high-end hardware and software. At these labs, students can use the Internet and the latest software and tools to improve their practical & digital skills.
  Apart from this, various workshops and laboratories are there for numerous Schools. Technologically advanced tools and equipment are present at these labs to provide hands-on learning to the students.

• Auditorium: The University has a huge auditorium that has an accommodation capacity of about 450 individuals. The venue is air-conditioned and the multimedia & lighting aids of latest technologies have been installed here for hosting large scale academic, professional, and cultural events efficiently.
• Seminar Halls: At the campus, there is a seminar hall that is used for organising seminars, workshops, guest lectures, conferences, etc. Here, around 250 students can be seated and it is well-equipped with AC, interactive screen, speakers, and more such amenities.
• Canteen: A canteen with a huge seating arrangement, ‘Nescafe’ and other kiosks are present at the University’s premises. At these eateries, healthy North Indian, South Indian, Chinese, Maharashtrian, and Continental cuisines, snacks, and beverages are served to the students at an economical price. The food served to the students is freshly prepared under hygienic conditions.
• Hostel: The male & female students of the University are provided with separate residential facilities outside the campus. The SSPU Pune Hostel rooms are granted to the students on a twin sharing basis along with an attached washroom.
  At the mess & dining hall, vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals are provided to the boarders. The other amenities include 24/7 security, medical services, laundry, transportation, and much more.
• Sports: The outdoor sports infrastructural facilities available at the University includes Turf & Courts for Cricket, Volleyball, Football, Lawn Tennis, Basketball, etc. For like Table Tennis, Carrom, Chess, and additional indoor recreational games, requisite amenities are provided.
  Furthermore, an air-conditioned gym is present at the campus that is well-equipped with exercise equipment for weight training, cardio, etc.
• Transportation: SSPU Pune owns a fleet of AC buses that operate daily at fixed schedule for providing commuting services to the students.
• ​Medical Facilities: The University has a ‘Health Centre’ and an observation room wherein necessary medical supplies & emergency care equipment are available. Prompt healthcare services are provided to the students by qualified medical professionals.
  In addition to this, round the clock ambulance services are available to transfer the critically ill & injured students to the nearby tie-up Hospitals for specialised treatment.
