I have from Mechanical department. I chose only Mechanical Engineering because it is a core branch and have real world experience. I have given BCECE exam (Bihar Engineering Exam) and after that I have applied for counseling process. After feeling choices of college and branch we have to wait until counseling result published. We got college and respective branches according to our rank obtained. You can also apply for UGEAC counseling ( with your JEE Main rank). There are two exams in a semester, one is mid semester exam and another is end semester exam. Both the exams are very tough and scoring well in academics is really challenging here. For maintaining CGPA, we have to do study throughout the semester.

Fees of our college is very less around 14000 rupees per year . Admission fees around 3100 to 3200 rupees at one time . Tution fees is 100 to 120 rupees per year , registration fees or Examination fees is 3700 rupees per semester and development fees 2500 rupees per year for General and OBC students . For SC - ST category admission fees is very low as compare to General , Tution fees zero , registration fees or examination fees is only 700 rupees and development fees is same as general category. Yes there is Scholarships like NSP and PMS are available for respective casts and criterias . Students can easily apply and got these scholarships. Also poor students can apply for Student Credit Card Loan which is given by Bihar Government at very low interest rate.Read Full Review

I am from Mechanical Engineering branch in this College (Motihari Engineering College). I chose this course because I have interest in practical machines and automobiles. For entry in this college you should give either JEE MAIN or BCECE (Bihar Engineering Examination). After getting your percentile or rank from JEE main then in Bihar Engineering colleges you will get first priority and your counseling will be held first. The counseling round is named as UGEAC. In this you get an UR rank and a category ranks (if you applied with a specific category like SC ST) according to your percentile in JEE MAIN. There are two rounds held in UGEAC and based on your percentile according to your choice of course college gives you your choice course. If the seats are filling soon that the seats will br allotted based on your cut-off. After UGEAC remaining seats are filled by BCECE counseling for the aspiring students who give exam of Bihar Engineering. Those students participate in this counseling. Cut-offs are generally low like if you’re from general category, you get CSE or AI like top branches on 80 to 90 percentiles. Also there is reservations for girls candidate and SC/ST.

College academic fees for all branches are same . These differ for only caste and reservation. There is 10 rupees of tuition fee for general and OBC and for SC ST it is 0. Admission charge is around 3200 rupees for general and it is very less for SC ST. same thing for examination general and OBC students have to pay 3700 for a semester ( 7400 rupees for a year) whereas 700 rupees per semester for SC and ST students . Other charges is almost 3000 rupees for each students. There is Bihar Student Credit Card facilities available for students in which you get loan up to 400000 rupees for your studies in 4 years at negligible interest rate. I am a CSE AI student in Motihari Engineering College. I chose this course because I am interested in Artificial Intelligence and Computers. For entry in this college, I have given BCECE exam, which is conducted by Bihar government every year. My rank was around 200 (UR). After getting results, you have to apply for counseling process, which is held in two rounds. If you got a decent rank respective to your chosen college and branch, then you are selected in first round, otherwise you have to wait for second round. You can also join our college based on your JEE Main rank along with participating in UGEAC counseling.

The college has a very affordable fee structure and hence, students from middle class family. The fee of my chosen course, which is CSE AI, is almost same of other branches. There is almost 0 tuition fee. The college charges only Rs. 3,200 as an admission fee for general and OBC category and even less for SC & ST category students. Similarly registration or examination fee is Rs. 7,400 per year for general and OBC category whereas only Rs. 1,400 for SC & ST category. It also adds up Rs. 3,000 to 4,000 for additional charges. These charges also vary for SC & ST category students. There is also ‘Student Credit Card Loan' system for the students who don't have any financial support.
