Choose MCE Motihari for an Affordable Engineering Education

If you got less percentile or you have financial problems in your home then you should go for our college or any Bihar Engineering college for engineering degree otherwise you should prefer top private engineering colleges. Try to join any IITs or NITs after taking a drop or partial drop. If you want only technical degree in lowest price then Bihar Engineering is good for you but not if you are dreaming of a good placement after completing your Graduation. Overall my experience in our college is approximately good due to sports facilities.

I am from Mechanical Engineering branch in this College (Motihari Engineering College). I chose this course because I have interest in practical machines and automobiles. For entry in this college you should give either JEE MAIN or BCECE (Bihar Engineering Examination). After getting your percentile or rank from JEE main then in Bihar Engineering colleges you will get first priority and your counseling will be held first. The counseling round is named as UGEAC. In this you get an UR rank and a category ranks (if you applied with a specific category like SC ST) according to your percentile in JEE MAIN. There are two rounds held in UGEAC and based on your percentile according to your choice of course college gives you your choice course. If the seats are filling soon that the seats will br allotted based on your cut-off. After UGEAC remaining seats are filled by BCECE counseling for the aspiring students who give exam of Bihar Engineering. Those students participate in this counseling. Cut-offs are generally low like if you’re from general category, you get CSE or AI like top branches on 80 to 90 percentiles. Also there is reservations for girls candidate and SC/ST.

College academic fees for all branches are same . These differ for only caste and reservation. There is 10 rupees of tuition fee for general and OBC and for SC ST it is 0. Admission charge is around 3200 rupees for general and it is very less for SC ST. same thing for examination general and OBC students have to pay 3700 for a semester ( 7400 rupees for a year) whereas 700 rupees per semester for SC and ST students . Other charges is almost 3000 rupees for each students. There is Bihar Student Credit Card facilities available for students in which you get loan up to 400000 rupees for your studies in 4 years at negligible interest rate. Also you avail PMS or NSP according to given criteria.

Faculties of our college are good in behavior and there teaching style is also good. They are well educated and experienced teachers. Some are former IITians or NITians and some have done their degrees from Central Universities like DU or BHU. Faculties like Ashish Sir, Birendra Sir are my personal favorite teachers. Almost all faculties except some have kind heart. They help us a lot whether our problems are academics related or not.

Yes, we have placement cell but its work is average as in my branch (MECH), Civil and Civil CA has very fewer placement and there offer price is very low. That is the main reason student in lower branches try to clear government exams or they do GATE preparation for higher studies. 60% Students of upper branches are placed only with average salary of 4 LPA in TCS, Wipro and Infosys like companies.

We have three boy’s hostels (OBH, NBH and NNBH) and two girl’s hostels in our college in which there are 3 beds available in one room. There is great infrastructure available in new hostels. For availing these hostel facilities you have to pay around 56,000 to 60,000 rupees for hostel including mess charges. Mess food of new hostels is quite better than old hostels. There are some rules and regulations for safety purpose of hostels boys or girls. For security there is warden and guards present all the time in hostels.

Infrastructure of our college is too good except old academic building and roads present in our college. Otherwise our college has a lush green campus whether 2 academic building, 2 temples, 1 ATM, 1 Canteen, 1 Stationary, Some faculties’ quarters, parking area and playgrounds are present. New buildings are very good by the look. The facilities present in these are good but old buildings need repairs and monetization. The roads of our college should be better.

Campus life of our college is good. I like only sports facilities because we have a huge lush green playground in our college that's why there are great opportunities to enhance your sports here. There are different types of sports and cultural clubs but I recommend you to join at least one sports club because in our college sports club is more active than our cultural club. Cultural club is only active in annual fest (UMANG), Engineer's Day like program only. Engagement of students in any type of fest or activities is more because they also want to join and be part of extracurricular activities rather than study only.
