My Point of View About MCE, Motihari

Overall Rating
Overall, my experience in my college is good. It is very affordable option for the students in Bihar. Here, all the students have almost similar mentality. The infrastructure is good. Events and fests are organized.
 

Academics Rating
I was from Mechanical Department, which is chosen by me (while I can get CSE easily on 90 percentile JEE Main) because I have too much interest in machines and new ideas. For entry in our college, you should give the exam either JEE Main or BCECE (Bihar Engineering). After that, you have to participate in the counseling and you got college and respective branch, which perfectly match, with your percentile. Frequency of exams is good enough because there are 3 exams (including practical and Viva) in a semester. It is really tough to score and you have to study across whole semester for doing better in academic.
The total fee in a year which was I paid is around Rs. 14,000 in which admission charge (only one time) is Rs. 3,200, development charge Rs. 2,500 per year, examination or registration fee Rs. 7,400 per year and few others. There are reservation criteria in fee for SC &ST category. They have to pay only Rs. 4,000 to Rs. 5,000 per year in which all academic expenses are included. Scholarship likes PMS and NDP are provided here according to eligibility criteria.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty members for our course are too good here. They are highly qualified and knowledgeable. They teach us very well with real life examples and doing practical activities in labs. All the faculties have minimum M.Tech degree. Their critical thinking and problem solving skill is good enough for us. Students and teacher ratio in our college is 30:1. My experience and bonding about my faculty member was goo. My most favorite teacher is Satish Sir, which is very kind and gem personality.
 

Placement Rating
In our college, there is placement cell present. They help us but not that much. In our college ACC, Infosys, Wipro, TCS, etc. companies visited for campus placement with few offers. Highest package from our college is 13 LPA and average is around 4 LPA. 60 percent students got placement from here in which majority is from CSE department. Placements for branches like Mechanical and Civil can be improved in the future. I did not apply for campus placement as I am preparing for Gate Examination.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, our college has hostel facilities for both boys and girls in which you got sharing room until 2nd year. after that in 3rd year you can leave alone in single room also. Our college hostels have great facilities. All students get their personal bed, chair, table, almirah, etc. One thing that can be better in the hostel that is mess food. Our hostel fee is around Rs. 56,000 per year including mess and all the other charges of hostel. Hostel timing is 6 AM to 9 PM. after that; you have to take permission from chief warden of that hostel. My experience about hostel is good.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Campus is built in huge area (50 acres) in which two academic blocks (NAB and OAB) , three boys hostel, two girls hostel, one bank, one ATM, one stationary, 3 faculties quarters 2 gyms, and 2 temples are present in our college. Classrooms have enough size with all required facilities (smart board, lights, and fans). My favorite thing about college that is it provides us all facilities for sports and motivating us for playing any of them. Overall, average infrastructure for our courses also.
 

Campus Rating
Overall campus life is average here. There are only few events happen here that are mostly organized by the college itself with the help of DST. Otherwise, students organized some events like Saraswati Puja, Engineer's Day, Independence Day, etc. In these events, all students participate and enjoying very well. Annual fest of our college is Umang, which is held in the month of November in which lots of sports, cultural and fun activities take. My experience about my college campus life is good.

    If you got less percentile or you have financial problems in your home then you should go for our college or any Bihar Engineering college for engineering degree otherwise you should prefer top private engineering colleges. Try to join any IITs or NITs after taking a drop or partial drop. If you want only technical degree in lowest price then Bihar Engineering is good for you but not if you are dreaming of a good placement after completing your Graduation.     Overall experience in my college is good. If you want to pursue engineering at an affordable fee then (The academic fee here is around Rs.22, 000/- per year) you should join our college because it also has a good ranking in Bihar.
