FRI has a well-established and active Placement Cell that assists and helps the students become employable and also provides a platform to the students where they can interact and communicate with various companies and professionals from the corporate world. The Placement Cell of FRI is run by expert placement officers with relevant experience and knowledge. This cell prepares the students for their corporate future roles by developing technical, professional, communicational, and soft skills. Renowned companies and organisations are invited by the university for on-campus placement drives. The cell follows certain placement procedure that leads to smooth placements of the students, like:

• The cell invites interested recruiting companies to the university.
• Interested and final-year students are notified about the placement drive.
• Visiting companies organise placement sessions like written tests, GD, aptitude tests, and personal interviews.
• The companies short-list the names of the selected students and notify them.
• Finalised students are then provided with the offer letter and updated about the joining dates.

Located at Chakarata Road, New Forest, P.O, Indian Military Academy, the campus of the university is excellent with modern infrastructures and futuristic learning & teaching tools. The university focuses on providing a safe, sound, and positive environment to the students and therefore it has established various committees that work for the welfare of the students. There are Student Grievances & Student Redressal Committee, Anti Sexual Harassment Committee, Student Welfare & Disciplinary Committee, etc. To entertain and cheer up the students, FRI organises various cultural and extra-curricular activities like annual functions, award shows, festival celebrations, award ceremonies, etc. These ceremonies help the students in showcasing their hidden talents and interests. The campus of the university is Internet enabled, has smart & spacious classrooms, along with other facilities and amenities like:

• Library: The University has an excellent and spacious library facility for the students. The name of the library is “National Forest Library and Information Centre”. It is stocked with all the latest reading and research materials, and it also covers all the academic sections. The library has a collection of 108+ subscribed Indian periodicals, 145+ international periodicals, more than 1 lakh books, references, projects, newspapers, magazines, etc. The reading area of the library is comfortable and well-lit and helps the students complete their academic tasks with ease.
• Computer Lab: FRI has a well-furnished and resourced computer lab with updated computer systems, software, and a fast internet connection. The seating area of the lab is comfortable and allows students to perform the research work. This lab is used to provide technical knowledge to the students throughout their academic period.
• Hostel: The University has separate hostel facilities for both boys and girls. There are three boys’ hostels and two girls’ hostels with an accommodation capacity of more than 170 students and 150+ students, respectively. The rooms of each hostel are clean, spacious, maintained, and furnished. The campus of the hostels is safe as security is present round the clock. Various fun and entertaining activities are also available for the hostellers and it offers a home-like positive atmosphere.
• Sports: Physical activities and sports help a lot in the overall development of the students and keeping this in mind, FRI provides excellent sports and game facilities to its students. Expert and experienced coaches are available at the university to train the students in various sports like Lawn Tennis, Basketball, Throwball, Badminton, etc. FRI also organises an annual sports day for the students which helps them show their interest in sports. A gymnasium is also present on the campus with the latest exercise equipment for day scholars and hostellers.
• Medical Facilities: The University has a well-equipped and round-the-clock working hospital present on the campus of the university. Well-qualified doctors and nurses are present in the hospital 24x7 to provide medical facilities and first aid services to the students.
