Doon University was established in the year 2005 as a State University and started its first academic session in 2009. This Public University is located in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, and is approved by UGC and accredited by NAAC. Special Points to Consider
* The University offers several other programs such as B.Com, B.Sc (Hons.), M.A, etc. It is to be noted that the overall fees in the above-mentioned table includes tuition, other (examination, library, etc.), and common charges (admission, caution, deposit, etc.).
* The duration of the above-mentioned UG programs is 4-years and students must have completed Class 12th from a recognized Board of Secondary Education. Moreover, obtained Graduation degree from a UGC approved or established Institution under MBA and M.Sc (Physics) program.
* For admission in aforementioned UG & PG courses, students have to obtain at least 50% marks. Moreover, 5% relaxation in marks will be given to Uttarakhand domicile students belonging to the SC / ST category.
Admission Process
Doon University admissions are done through the ‘Samarth Portal’. At first, students need to register themselves and then they can fill the online application form using the login details. Moreover, if any student is not able to fill the online form then they can visit the admission help desk at the University’s campus to complete the same.
Apart from this, students have to appear for Doon University entrance exam and then a merit list will be prepared based on the obtained marks. In addition to this, the University fills the admission seats in the available courses on merit-basis.
* Foreign Nationals can apply for admission at the University. In addition, they must check the admission, eligibility criteria, and fees because it differs as compared to domestic students.

Academic achievers and needy students enrolled at the University can apply for the available scholarships which are offered under different categories. Several Doon University scholarships are there for the students including ‘Azim Premji Scholarship’, ‘CM Scholarship Scheme’, and many others.
In addition, students who have obtained more than 80 percentile in class 12th and are seeking admission in the regular courses of the University can apply for ‘Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Protsahan (PM-USP) Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students’. However, the student’s family income should not exceed Rs. 4,50,000/- per annum.
