KMC Mangalore Campus: Photos, Virtual Tour

For first years, the campus has two hostel blocks one for the boys and one for the girls, each block contains boys and girls of both MBBS and BDS, the hostel has two buildings and a basket ball court. The campus is not too large but is sufficient for accommodating the people living in it.

You don’t get much of a campus life here because the campus is pretty small and the curfew timings for girls is 8:30 pm but it gets better in second year as the curfew extends for girls. In Mangalore, KMC has buildings all over the city. The classes are held mostly in the academic blocks that are in the college buildings but for hands on practice, the students go for clinical sessions in hospitals. The college has its own sports complex and two major libraries. There is an anatomy museum, a dissection hall and various labs for their respective departments. All these buildings are clean and well maintained.

Campus life in KMC Mangalore is engaging. There are various fests and events arranged that keep busy academic year more interesting. The annual fest called ‘Utsav’ at KMC is quite a show with all sorts of events arranged by the students. The college arranges events during festivals like Diwali and Holi, which can be very fun. The campus is widely spread throughout the city of Mangalore, the center of attraction on the light house building which is the main building of the college where most of the events as well the lecture classes take place. There are 3 government hospital associated with the college which makes it India’s first college to have public private partnership. There is specified sports complex which has all the outdoor as well indoor games facilities.

There is no as such campus of this college, but the college lies in the heart of the city Mangalore. Everything is just nearby to the college. The crowd here is very good, will never disappoint. There are ample clubs and party places in the city, you can have the all the perks of the city with good restaurant and celebrations on big events like Ganesh Chathurthi, Holi etc. Fest is organised once in a month by the college otherwise there are fest and concerts going on throughout the year in the city.Read Full Review
