Madhusudan Law University (MLU) formerly known as Madhusudan Law College started its operations in 2021. Located in Cuttack, Odisha it is a Public State University approved by UGC and recognised by BCI & Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Moreover, it has about 29 affiliated Colleges.
It is well-renowned for being the oldest Institution in the State that has produced some of the finest legal professionals in the Country by integrating practical and application-based pedagogies in its curriculum. The University has Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Integrated, and Doctoral courses available at an economical fee structure. Furthermore, all the programs are offered in the field of Law.

*The minimum requisite marks in the qualifying examination should be 45% marks (40% in case of SC / ST category students), aggregately in case of LL.B and B.A.LL.B courses. Moreover, the LL.M program is available for the students to pursue at the University.
Admission Process
Students willing to enroll in the courses of the University are required to apply via the online mode only, no direct / offline applications will be accepted. Moreover, in accordance with the Madhusudan Law University admission criteria, students are given enrollment to the programs based on the merit in their qualifying examination.
*It is to be noted that admission criteria for some of the courses might differ occasionally and it would be as per the State Government orders.
Reservation Criteria
The amount of seats reserved from the total available seats in a course is filled by the students from varied categories. Moreover, the criteria of distribution are prescribed by the State Government; details of the same are as follows:
