The Ravenshaw University was previously established as Ravenshaw College in 1868 and then it received the status of University in 2006. The State University is located in Cuttack, Odisha and has 2 campuses; the main one is located in the middle of the city and the expanded campus is in the deltaic zone of Mahanadi and Kathjodi Rivers.
Ravenshaw University Cuttack is approved by UGC, recognised by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) & Higher Education Department, Government of Odisha. It is also accredited by NAAC.
The Institution is popular because of many reasons like its legacy as it is one of the oldest Institutions in Odisha, academic reputation, and excellent campus life. Under NIRF 2025, the University has received a ranking on a ‘51-100th’ band in ‘State Public Universities’ category.
Approximately 25 departments are present at the State University like Business Administration, Chemistry, Commerce, Computer Application, and others. At these departments, courses like UG, PG, and Doctorate programs are offered.
The popular courses of the Institution include MBA and to enroll in this program, the annual fees of Rs. 1,71,000/- need to be paid by the students.
