L.B.S. College of Engineering Kasaragod Campus: Photos, Virtual Tour

Different departments have their own buildings. Infrastructure is good but some blocks have lack of facilities. Electric shortages occur some times. Labs have no problems as generator is there. Labs are good. Labs are not fully focused at developing practical knowledge. Water shortages are common (not recently) due to hot weather. College is built on rocks and has total area of 52 acres even though few of it is actually used. Canteen is good but not much food options. College has its own bus covering most close routes. College has grounds for football, basketball, badminton and volleyball. Canteen has less seating capacity but standing tables are available. Some assembly halls are present but no auditorium for full capacity to hold all students. One problem I have seen is the distance between departments. CS is at one end and has to walk a lot to other end to attend lab (for electronic subjects) though not all buildings are that far apart. There is a bio park to chill.

Campus life is alright. But mostly studies are focused. We do have really good competitions and cultural as well as tech fest as well as sports. Sports are encouraged at college as well as upper levels. Most classes (in CSE department) have projector. Seniors are helpful and ragging doesn't exist. Even though politics are pretty prominent here and sometimes lead to conflict, this has reduced now. Gender composition of students is equal between male and female (except mechanical department). The infrastructure part of this college is not up to mark as far as I am concerned. The college is vast and has 52 acres of land in which majority are surrounded by grass only. Although there are many buildings divided into various departments, the reliability of bricks is not satisfactory. All the buildings are old and are not strong enough. But it alone, won't affect a student's academic life.

The institute is located in a hilly area which is away from the city. The unbearable thing in the college is the hot and humid climate. One cannot walk without an umbrella in the morning. The college has clubs like NSS, IEEE, Bhoomitrasena, etc. Every year, there will be an arts fest, sports fest and a tech fest which has so many technical events as well as cultural events for the students to enjoy.Read Full Review
