Mizoram University Hostel Fees: Rooms, Food & Rules, Aizawl

Mizoram University offers five hostels to girls and seven hostels to boys. Each hostel can accommodate a hundred students. Hostel wardens inspect the Mizoram University hostel rooms regularly.

Wardens are responsible for preserving the hostel properties, coordinating with the cooks and helpers in the hostel mess, and addressing complaints regarding the repair and replacement of commodities. Mizoram University hostel food is healthy and balanced. The hostel mess committee decides the hostel menu based on the availability of seasonal vegetables and fruits, eating habits, and paying capacity of the students.

 Mizoram University hostel rules include:

• Students must maintain a good code of conduct. The central committee will impose a fine of Rs.500 on any student who fails to do so.
• Students must abstain from the consumption of intoxicants like alcohol.
• Students cannot stay outside the hostel premises after 10 p.m. Any damage to the hostel property is prohibited.
• Students cannot hold religious functions without the permission of the Vice-Chancellor
• Students are not allowed to keep pets.
• Students must abstain from playing loud music.
• Ragging, sexual harassment, and discrimination based on caste or creed are strictly prohibited.
• Guests can stay for three consecutive nights. Hostellers must take permission from the warden if there is any extension in the stay.
