GMRIT Hostel Fees: Rooms, Food & Rules, Rajam

The GMR Institute of Technology (GMRIT), Rajam has state-of-the-art residences at the campus which are available separately for boys’ & girls’. Furthermore, the GMRIT hostels have round the security & modern facilities to enhance the living experience of the students.

The GMRIT has approximately 7 hostel blocks namely, ‘Vindhya’, ‘Satpura’, ‘Aravali’, ‘Vamsadhara’, and many others which can collectively accommodate more than 1616 students. Moreover, the hostels have around 668 rooms in different occupancies which are furnished with basic amenities.

Students who want to live at the on-campus hostels of the Deemed to be University should submit the prescribed fees. Furthermore, the GMRIT hostel fees is Rs. 99,000/- per year, including room rent & food charges.

The management of the University has established numerous rules and regulations for maintaining a quiet & secured environment at the accommodations. Residents need to follow all such rules as violation may lead to disciplinary actions like probation, expulsion, fine, etc.

• At the accommodations, students are banned from practising or supporting ragging, bullying, harassing, or hazing as these are unlawful acts.
• During their time at the residences, students cannot bring, consume, and distribute alcoholic or narcotic substances at their rooms.
• Possession of explosive, firearms, or other harmful weapons is restricted at the hostel blocks.
• E-kettle, iron, dryers, heaters or any other electrical items are not allowed at the University’s hostel rooms.
• Inmates are advised to not to keep heavy cash, jewelry, or other such items inside their respective rooms. Also, lock the rooms properly as hostel authorities are not responsible for the loss of any precious item.
• To go out of their allotted hostels for a night out, students are required to obtain prior permission from their wardens and in-charges.

Inside the GMRIT Campus, there are upto 5 male hostels which are ‘Satpura’ ‘Himalaya’, ‘Vindhaya’, ‘Nilgiri’, and ‘Aravali’. These hostels can collectively accommodate more than 1172 students. Whereas, more than 444 female students can live peacefully at 2 separate residential blocks i.e., ‘Vamsadhara’ & ‘Nagavali’.
