A Training & Placement Cell is there at the State University which assists students to opt for a right career path to build a successful future. On-campus MAKAUT Kolkata Placement drives are held by inviting several companies from the different industries to recruit talented and deserving students.

Additionally, to prepare students to excel the recruitment drives, the cell arranges following activities & programs on a regular basis:

Capgemini, Cognizant, Tata Consultancy Services, Wipro, Infosys, QSpiders, Accenture, Ernst & Young, ICRA Analytics, PwC, etc. are the placement companies which have visited the University campus to recruit students in the past few years.

Developed on a land of about 40 acres, the MAKAUT Kolkata Campus is designed with modern facilities for the holistic development of the students. The academic buildings at the University consist of classrooms with multimedia amenities like LCD projectors and computers to offer digital learning to the students. The University offers internet facilities to the students through the Wi-Fi for academic purposes.

Following state-of-the-art infrastructural amenities can be used by the students during their academic journey at the University:

• Library: Inside the campus, a library stacked with multiple resources like textbooks, National & International journals, periodicals, reference books, and others is present. Also, the University has a digital library equipped with updated systems for the students to access e-resources like e-books, e-journals, and others. Book bank facility, reading room, braille section, and others are available for the students at the library. Also, for providing easy access to resources to the students, departmental libraries are present at the campus.
• Laboratories: With the adequate computer systems, the University has a computer centre and labs ./ rooms inside the premises to aid students in their academics. Several departmental laboratories have been set up with advanced equipment to conduct practicals; some of these are as follows:
  • Work System Design Laboratory
  • Engineering Physics Lab
  • Electronics Engineering Lab
  • Language Laboratory
• Auditorium: To host multiple cultural events, programs, and sessions, the University has an auditorium with ICT and adequate seating facilities for the students.
• Seminar Halls & Conference Rooms: Both seminar halls and conference rooms have been established inside the University’s campus. Each hall / room at the University has multimedia facilities for the smooth conduction of the several sessions throughout the years. Beside this, meeting rooms are also included.
• Cafeteria: To offer food & beverages to the students at the nominal prices, a cafeteria / canteen is present inside the MAKAUT Kolkata campus. Also, the campus includes small restaurants and other eateries for the students.
• Hostels: MAKAUT Kolkata Hostel amenities are provided to both male & female students. Students get the rooms at the hostel with all necessary facilities. In addition, quality meals are offered by the hostel mess to the students. Indoor games facilities, gymnasium, common rooms, etc. are available inside the hostels for the students.
• Sports: To conduct the outdoor game activities like Football, Cricket, etc., the University has a well maintained playground. Also, the campus of the University includes dedicated spaces for indoor sports like Badminton, Table Tennis, Caroms, and others.
  To be physically fit, the campus also consists of a separate indoor gymnasium with adequate equipment & machines for both boys and girls.
• Medical Facilities: To facilitate around the clock medical assistance to the students, a Sick Room and Medical Centre is available within the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology.
• Others: Guest House, Girls & Boys Common Room, Radio Station, Around the Clock Water and Power Supply, Mobile Charging Station, Music Corner, Animal House, and many others.
