CMR Institute of Management Studies [CMRIMS], Bangalore Karnataka was established in the year 1996 as Private (Autonomous) Educational Institute to provide higher education to build a career in the field of Management, Computer Applications and Commerce. There are two departments in the institute: Management & Commerce and Information Technology. CMRIMS offers programs like BBA, BCA, and B.Com. An applicant must be 12th passed to be eligible to get admission in the Undergraduate programs while for BCA minimum 35% marks are required. Students can apply from the main website of the college by completing the Application Form and submitting required documents.

The Career Guidance and Placement Bureau envision grooming students so that they can face the challenges of the corporate world. The students are provided placements through career counseling, training, on and off campus placements. The main functions of the placement bureau are:
The placement bureau aims to build strategic partnerships with companies and bridge any gaps between industry expectations and classroom learning. The companies that come for placement purposes in CMRIMS are: HSBC, Axis Bank, Amazon, IBM, Deloitte, Wipro, JP Morgan, TCS, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Oracle, Thomson Reuters, Deutsche Bank, Accenture, Infosys, etc.
CMRIMS has a well built infrastructure which has well equipped laboratories, spacious classrooms, transport facilities, sports and other amenities which fulfill the purpose of providing enhanced learning environment to the students.
CMR Institute of Management Studies also known as CMRIMS is a part of CMR Group of Institutions and sponsored by CMR Jananadhara Trust. Established in July 1996 CMRIMS provides practical education through the latest curriculum to promote academic and professional excellence. The institute aims to deliver high-quality education and motivate the students to reach beyond the core syllabus and develop creative thinking and analytical skills. CMRIMS prepares and motivates students in the right environment offering an interactive and enriching academic experience to become responsible professionals. It has the affiliation of Bangalore University recognized by UGC & Government of Karnataka and all the courses are approved by AICTE. The primary objective of the institution is to provide a learning environment for the growth of students. The admission of the students is based on their marks scored in the 10+2 examination with at least 45% of marks followed by personal interview.
CMRIMS library spreads around 800sq. ft in a spacious building equipped with all the modern facilities. Presently, it has more than 16500 books and volumes with different sections for reference books, periodicals, newspapers, and magazines. The library has subscribed to other digital libraries such as IIMB, DELNET, BLB, etc. to offer a wide range of reading material. CMRIMS library has started to gather digital and e-resources in the form of e-journals, CD, DVD, Audio cassettes, and Floppy disks. It has a high-speed internet connection and computers installed to help students during their reading sessions. The library provides services like reprography, photocopying, book borrowing, and plagiarism checker software in every computer.
