The foundation stone for Loyola Institute of Technology was laid in the year 2003. It is an ISO 9001:2015 certified institution that is affiliated with Anna University and is approved by AICTE and UGC. The vision of the institute is to be a renowned institution of global standing that imparts knowledge and prepares the students to be technologically suitable professionals. Those who are willing to apply for admission to the Loyola Institute of Technology have the option of applying either through the online mode or through the offline mode. The candidate must complete the payment for the application form either through a Demand Draft (offline) or through the online payment modes specified by the college.
The candidates who wish to apply through the offline mode are expected to visit the college campus and submit the admission form in the hardcopy format along with copies of the asked documents. However, the candidates that are willing to apply through the online mode must click on the “apply online” tab present at the admission section on the home page where they may upload the necessary documents.

Eligibility: The minimum eligibility criteria have been listed by the institute for all the candidates seeking admission to the UG and PG programs that are offered by the institute.
For UG (BE / B.Tech) Programs: The candidate must clear 10+2 with Physics, Math, and Chemistry as compulsory subjects and score at least 50% marks (for the general category) or 45% marks (for BC / BCM category) or 40% marks (for MBC / DNC / ST / SC / SCA category).
For PG (MBA) Programs: The candidate must clear under graduation with at least 50% marks.
Admission Procedure: The candidates seeking admission to the Loyola Institute of Technology may apply either through the Management Quota or the Government Quota.
Government Quota: Candidates will receive admission on the basis of merit and counseling led by Anna University.
Management Quota: The college admissions committee is responsible for admissions through the management quota. The candidates that apply in the management quota will receive admissions on the merit list specified by the College Committee.

Loyola Institute of Technology Scholarships
The institute supports the students in acquiring the various government scholarships that are awarded based upon various criteria to various communities namely:
National Merit Scholarship is awarded to all the selected students on a merit basis.
Government of India Scholarship to SC / ST students is awarded to the students belonging to the SC / ST Categories.
State Scholarship for the Backward Classes (BC) is granted to the students belonging to the BC and having the maximum household income of Rs. 50,000.
Scholarship to children of freedom fighters is given to the students who are children of the freedom fighters.
Scholarship to children of defence services is granted to the candidates who are wards of defence personnel.
Ali-dravidar Welfare Loan is for the students that belong to the SC / ST categories.
