To maintain discipline, hostellers are required to follow a set of rules at ICFAI University Dehradun Hostel; some of these are mentioned below:

• Before leaving the hostel premises, the hostellers are required to inform the mess supervisor about their absence for particular days.
• Entry of outsiders / day scholars is strictly prohibited in the hostel campus, strict action will be taken against involved students accordingly.
• The main gate of the hostel will be closed at 9:00 PM, if any of the residents will be late without the written permission of higher authorities, will be suspended.
• Exchanging / interchanging the furniture or causing any damage to the hostel property is strictly prohibited, students will be expelled if found involved in such activities.
• Attendance will be marked between 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM, if any of the students found absent from their allotted rooms; he / she will be fined as per the rules.
• Prior notice to celebrate birthday parties needs to be submitted to the warden, the celebration of 2 hours can only be done after the approval / written permission of the higher authority.
• Ragging or harming students in the hostel premises is strictly prohibited, the indulgence of the residing student in such acts can cause strict punishment including expulsion, suspension, etc. from the hostel and the University as well.
