Rani Birla Girl's College Reviews on Placement, Faculty, Hostel by Students

Calcutta University ranks among the Top 10 universities of India so when it came to admission it was my first choice. There are many reputed colleges under Calcutta University and Rani Birla Girls College is one of them. This college is famous for its art department and once you’ll take admission there you’ll know why. The professors are highly experienced and it has a great learning ambiance. Getting admission is very easy if you have a decent score. Since it is a girl's college competition is less. If you live in South Kolkata and want to pursue a career in a field related to arts then Rani Birla Girls College should be your choice. Rani Birla Girl's College is not exactly the dream college which one thinks about but it's one of the best colleges in Kolkata when it comes to academics, discipline and attendance. The college has a school type of atmosphere and once you enter the college premises you cannot leave before 2.30 PM unless there is an emergency and you manage a special permission from the principal. Even in the lunch break one is not allowed to go out. It is an undergraduate girl’s college that offers many different courses and is affiliated with Calcutta University. Admission to this College is based upon one’s marks in their Higher Secondary exams and also in the Course-related subject. College management I would say is not very impressive and it calls for improvement.Read Full Review
