Chandigarh is the best place to study in North India after Delhi. The Universities in Chandigarh, like Chandigarh University, Chitkara University, Punjab University, and Goswami Ganesh Dutta Sanatan Dharma College, are highly rated Universities and Colleges. RBU came out of nowhere as the University was near my place, and I saw the completion of the University from my eyes while it was getting built. I jokingly used to tell my family and friends that I would be studying there, and as Jinx happens, I ended up studying there. There were some drawbacks, but most of the University was promising. Student participation in most events has made the University organize them on a large scale. Many prominent personalities have come during those events, and many prominent personalities have also given guest lectures here. One of India's leading economists, Montek Singh Ahluwalia, has been a regular visitor at the University and has endorsed students to engage with sports as playing sports helps immensely in studies too.Read Full Review
Out of the two choices that I had between Chandigarh University and RBU, I chose Rayat Bahra University and I still don’t know why? There’s nothing about that distinguishes it from the other private universities. Still, if I have to choose a thing, I will choose faculties because they were better than most universities in Punjab have. The university played defensively as the portions were vast but they choose just to brush up on most of the topics and bath with only the important topics. So, shortcuts in a professional course like BBA never works and it showed up during the placements when hardly any placements happened. To take it a step further, we were trained but not trained with the skills that requires the most during interviews and that is communicating. Punjab is anyways weak in education and I am sorry to bother all with such statement but it is what it is. So, it was bits and pieces and I will use both the words loosely because the university was good with some part and equally bad with some. So, if one expects leaps and bounds at RBU, then sorry, it’s not that pace to be honest.Read Full Review
I joined 'RBU' the year it was incepted. Chandigarh has way too many Colleges but all with a certain criterion as Chandigarh has decided to compete with Delhi. Chandigarh University and 'RBU' were the only two Universities where I could have had admissions. RBU because it was close to my home, my parents asked me to go there. The University had twenty courses then as rest all were in planning and today, they offer nearly 100 courses. BBA was more out of seeing everybody doing something because saying anybody that I am doing B. Com looks a little down. BBA at RBU was meant to educate us financially as I hardly knew anything about the financial markets of India and neither did I know who was the finance minister of India then. I feel privileged that then finance minister Late Arun Jaitleyji visited our campus and spent a fair bit of time with us. If one thing that I still remember about RBU is the speech that he delivered at our University.Read Full Review
