Panjab University is one of the oldest universities in India and there are more than 100 courses which are running inside the campus. College is full of resources as well as there are many opportunities that are waiting for us. It is one of them few universities that are funded by the both state and central governments. Fee is very minimal in the institute for almost every course that is being offered in the university. The pharmacy department of the university is rank among the top three colleges in India which make it a premium pharmacy college of the country for vey less fee. I did not choose this university because I was fortunate to get in to this university after my counselling process. Everyone who wants to go for the higher studies should join this college because you cannot get better than this.Read Full Review
Panjab University was once known as icon and symbol of academic excellence. It is indeed now a political madrassa. I am sorry for using such words but it is true as those who want to start their journey in politics take admissions here. Spoiled, rich brats are a part of the PU Chandigarh where students coming from average family like us stand no chance. Selfish agendas are turned into political agenda here and what we get is free lectures because if any such rift was going on the lectures were cancelled first hand. I wish the university knew that there are several election bodies and they all fight election with non-violence but not at Panjab University Chandigarh. Every single day, I used to hear about new fights and new nuisance being created. I am glad that I chose B.Com to study from here because any other course and I know I would have flunked. So, coming to the positive, it is one of the best places, if you want to pursue higher studies because the university is not at all rigorous when it comes to attendance. Thus, one gets all the time in the world to prepare for CAT or other competitive exams.Read Full Review
After completing my graduation in engineering from GNA University, MBA seemed more promising to me. I applied for various entrances of premier University but it was PU where I got the admission. I wanted to get out of the state to experience something new. PU though never let me feel that I should have left my state because it was no less than an international experience. Yes, the crowd was 90% from the state itself but still all from well-cultured families and sound backgrounds. I came to Chandigarh with my friends for the round of interviews as it compulsory for MBA admissions. Not only me but many others from small towns who came for the interview were stunned to see the beauty and greenery at the campus. I have never seen such a beautiful campus in my life as I have been to quite a few universities. The beauty of PU prompted me to get the admissions at the earliest and have no second thoughts about it. The University is also quite strict as 5 minutes late and the doors of the classes will be locked. There were 2 guys from Chennai and even they were surprised that even colleges in Chennai are not that strict.Read Full Review
