It was basically during Covid-19 that I missed every opportunity to get admission to a reputed B.Tech. College. Then I thought of giving it a try at GACR, as I have an interest in chemistry and want to know more. But to my fate, I missed filling out the SAMS Form to be eligible to take entry there based on the 12th examination percentage. Then during the second selection, I applied for the same and got it in my first round. Since the cut-off here is high in almost every stream of Science Honours, as it is the second-best college in Western Odisha. Thereafter, my journey started. They have some good faculties and strict anti-ragging norms & policies. My exposure to the co-curricular activities couldn't substantiate it as it varies for day scholars & hostellers. But the huge negative point that disappoints me is about the exams, it should have been every 4-5 months but here it's like every 2 months. Hence, this makes it difficult for you to focus on any Government Exam preparations. The placements here are not up to the mark. I have hardly seen any good company visit the campus. Even the ones that visit are so random nothing to do with the branch you study. For Example, HDFC Life Insurance had a recruitment notice for students of every branch.Read Full Review
