CMAT Registration 2026 (Ongoing): How to Fill Application Form, Fees, Last Date, Documents

The NTA (exam conducting body) started the CMAT application form 2026 on 17^th October 2025. Aspirants will be able to complete their registration till 17^th November 2025 & pay the application fee by 18^th November 2025. The Correction Window for modifying certain details in the application form will certainly be available from 20^th November 2025 to 22^nd November 2025.

Male candidates belonging to the General category are supposed to pay a registration fee of Rs. 2500/-. Whereas, the exam fee for the females of General category, and the students belonging to the Gen-EWS, SC, ST, PwD, OBC-NCL, and Transgender categories have to pay Rs. 1250/-, respectively.

The CMAT 2026 exam registration is expected to start in November 2025. The forms for registration / application of CMAT 2026 are expected to be open for the candidates till December 2025. Students must know that these dates are tentative and finalised dates will be released by the authorities soon.

The below-listed are the tentative dates for CMAT 2026 registration and other important events related to the exam.

* Once the registration process gets completed, aspiring candidates appearing for the exam should refer to the CMAT exam pattern 2026 to prepare well for the exam.

In order to confirm the candidature for appearing in the entrance test, students have to pay the requisite exam fee. The CMAT 2026 registration fees for various categories are different. Applicants can pay the same using the following methods:

• Net Banking
• Debit Card
• Credit Card
• UPI

The step-by-step details about the application process is given-below:

Step 1: Access the official website i.e., “exams.nta.ac.in/CMAT”.

Step 2: Press the “Registration” tab displayed on the home page.

Step 3: Now, candidates will be transmitted to the CMAT registration page.

Step 4: Fill in all the below-given details to generate an Application Number:

• Candidate’s Name
• Mother’s Name
• Father’s Name
• Candidate’s DOB
• Mobile Number
• Valid Email

Step 5: After filling in all the required details, set a strong password.

Step 6: Now, click on the “Submit” icon for receiving an OTP on the registered mobile number.

Step 7: Enter the OTP and note down the generated Application Number for future reference.

Step 8: Post registration, revisit the official website and login with the generated application number and created password.

Step 9: Fill in all the details like personal information, academic qualification, preferred test cities, etc.
*Students must select 4 examination test centre cities of their preference. The test centre city will be allotted on the basis of the candidate’s permanent / correspondence address by the exam authorities.

* While filling the Application form, state-listed OBC candidates who are not under the OBC-NCL (Central list) must choose the General category.

Step 10: Review all the details and make changes if required before clicking on the “Submit” button.

Step 11: After submitting the CMAT application form, candidates are asked to upload the scanned image of their passport size photograph, signature, and PwD certificate (if applicable).

Step 12: After completing all the required formalities, pay the applicable CMAT 2026 registration / application fee through Net Banking / Debit Card / Credit Card / UPI.

It is mandatory for the applicants to scan and upload the asked documents / images after filling the CMAT application form. Following are the requirements to upload and scan the candidate’s required documents:

Photograph

• The candidate's passport size photograph must be recent.
• The size of the photograph should be between 10 KB to 200 KB.
• The background of the photo should be colour / black & white with 80% face visibility including ears.
• The photograph must be clicked against a white background.

* Photographs with spectacles are permitted only if it is used on a regular basis.

Note: Computer generated photographs and polaroids will be rejected.

Signature

• Should have signed full signature on the plain white paper in running handwriting with either black or blue ink pen.
• The size of the file is required to be in between 4 KB to 30 KB.

PwD Certificate (If Applicable)

• It is mandatory to ensure that the PwD Certificate file size lies between 50 KB to 300 KB.

* The format of each file of any document / image should be JPG or JPEG.

Applicants are required to have below-given documents to fill the details of the CMAT registration / application form:

• Passport Size Photograph
• Class 10^th & 12^th Marksheet
• Graduation Marksheet
• Caste Certificate (if applicable)
• PwD / DA Certificate (if applicable)
• Candidate’s Signature.

The NTA is expected to open the correction form window from 15^th December 2025 to 17^th December 2025. Students can modify the details in the certain section of the application form by logging on the official website with an already generated application number and created password. Once the correction window gets closed, applicants will not be able to make any changes.

It is important for the candidates to consider below-listed points during the CMAT exam registration 2026 process:

• It is not necessary for the aspirants to register, fill-in the application form & pay the exam fee at once. These 3 steps can be completed at separate timings before the due date.
• The test city centres should be selected on the basis of first to last preference.
• Candidates will receive a confirmation email and SMS after successful completion of the application fee payment. In any case, if the candidates do not receive any confirmation email / SMS, they should immediately contact the examination office.
• It is essential for the candidates to use a laptop or desktop for successful completion of the CMAT exam application form.
• Applicants who have submitted more than one application form will be rejected.

Candidates who look forward to appearing in the entrance test must ensure that they meet the CMAT Eligibility Criteria 2026 laid down by the conducting authority.
