The step-by-step details about the application process is given-below:
Step 1: Access the official website i.e., “exams.nta.ac.in/CMAT”.
Step 2: Press the “Registration” tab displayed on the home page.
Step 3: Now, candidates will be transmitted to the CMAT registration page.
Step 4: Fill in all the below-given details to generate an Application Number:
Step 5: After filling in all the required details, set a strong password.
Step 6: Now, click on the “Submit” icon for receiving an OTP on the registered mobile number.
Step 7: Enter the OTP and note down the generated Application Number for future reference.
Step 8: Post registration, revisit the official website and login with the generated application number and created password.
Step 9: Fill in all the details like personal information, academic qualification, preferred test cities, etc.
*Students must select 4 examination test centre cities of their preference. The test centre city will be allotted on the basis of the candidate’s permanent / correspondence address by the exam authorities.
* While filling the Application form, state-listed OBC candidates who are not under the OBC-NCL (Central list) must choose the General category.
Step 10: Review all the details and make changes if required before clicking on the “Submit” button.
Step 11: After submitting the CMAT application form, candidates are asked to upload the scanned image of their passport size photograph, signature, and PwD certificate (if applicable).
Step 12: After completing all the required formalities, pay the applicable CMAT 2026 registration / application fee through Net Banking / Debit Card / Credit Card / UPI.
