CMAT Eligibility Criteria 2026: Check Nationality, Age Limit, Aggregate Score & Qualifications

The CMAT eligibility criteria 2026 laid down by the conducting body i.e., National Testing Agency (NTA) states that the aspirants must have passed UG Degree in any discipline. Additionally, they must be a citizen of India. There is no restriction in age to appear for the CMAT 2026 entrance test.

The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is conducted once a year in two sessions. Candidates who desire to seek admission in the MBA / PGDM program of top management institutes like Christ University, LPU, and others can appear for CMAT 2026 exam.

It is mandatory for the candidates to meet the CMAT eligibility criteria 2026 specified by the NTA (exam conducting body) to appear in the exam. The minimum eligibility criteria to register for CMAT exam is to qualify Bachelors Degree in any stream. Following is the reservation policy for the Institutes / Colleges which accept CMAT score and are operated by the Central Government:

* The State-list OBC Candidates who do not fall under the Central List of OBC-NCL must apply through the General category.

Note: Students getting admission in the educational Institutions run / recognised / aided by the State Government will be allotted seats as per reservation norms of the respective State Government.

Candidates applying for CMAT exam under PwD category should consider below specified reservation criteria:

• On the basis of Section 2(s) of the RPwD Act, PwD specifies an individual with long term physical, mental, intellectual, or sensory impairment that is the barrier for them to properly participate in the society like a normal person.
• As per Section 2(r) of the RPwD Act, 2016, “Persons with Benchmark Disabilities” refers to a person with at least 40% of a specified disability. Here, specified disability is not defined into measurable terms.

Following are the “specified disabilities” categories included in the Schedule of the RPwD Act:

• Physical Disability
• Intellectual Disability
• Mental Behaviour
• Disability caused due to Chronic Neurological Conditions and Blood Disorder.
• Multiple Disabilities

Candidates who have any disability like blindness, limb disabilities or others which prevents them from appearing in the CMAT – Computer Based Test are advised to use the scribe facility. Scribe facility and / or compensatory time will be provided to the candidates who have difficulty in writing. To take advantage of these facilities, such students must submit a Certificate issued by a competent medical authority.

• Candidates who want to avail the scriber / reader have to opt for it during the time of CMAT 2026 registration and have to submit the copy of the disability certificate.
• The NTA will allot the candidates with a scriber. In addition to this, candidates are also allowed to bring their own scriber but he / she should be one step less qualified from the candidates who will appear in the exam.
• PwD candidates will be provided with an extra 1 hour for the exam irrespective if they have availed scribe facility or not.
