• International students have to pay the application fee in favour of the Registrar of CUSAT (at Ernakulam) through a Demand Draft / Pay Order / other instrument that doesn’t demand collection charges on the University’s part.
• The Indian citizens / OCI Card Holders who have applied under the NRI quota have to pay an additional application fee of Rs. 5000/-.
• If candidates have paid a duplicate application fee then the refund for the due amount will be processed after the registration window closes.

CUSAT CAT registration 2026 is a multi-step process. Students have to follow the below-given steps to register / apply online for the entrance exam:

Step 1: CUSAT CAT Exam Registration 2026

• Go to the official website i.e., “doastage.cusat.ac.in” & click the “New Candidate Registration” button.
• Fill-in the details asked in the form like mobile number, email address, etc. & submit it. Remember that it is mandatory to fill in all the fields.

• After submission, candidates will receive an Activation Link on their provided email ID. Click on the Activation Link to activate the User Account.

* Students cannot use the same email ID to register again.

* The Username will be the applicants’ email ID.

Step 2: Login to Fill-in the Application Form

• Post registration, go back to the official website & click the “Login” tab displayed on the webpage.
• Candidates have to then login using their provided email address & password, and enter the Captcha as displayed on the screen.

* In case students have forgotten their CUSAT CAT 2026 password, they can click the “Forgot your password?” option & then retrieve the same by entering their registered mobile number & email ID, and by entering the Captcha, respectively.

• After logging in, go through the instructions displayed on the screen carefully and then click the “Start Registration” button.
• Fill-in the personal details asked in the Application Form.
• To claim special reservation benefits, select the suitable category in the left list box & move to the right box by clicking the “Select” button.

Step 3: Upload the Photograph & Signature

• Now, upload a recently clicked passport-size photograph & a scanned image of signature in the prescribed format.

Step 4: Selection of Program

• Here, students have to select the course/s combination from the dropdown list which are Undergraduate Program / Postgraduate Program.
• Now, candidates have to choose the qualification that they are going to acquire / already acquired. On the basis of the selected qualification, a list of available programs will be displayed. Students have to now add the program/s to the right side list box by clicking the “Select” button they wish to take admission in. Click the “Confirm Programs” button.
• Details of the Test Codes will be displayed on the screen after confirming the programs. Select the appropriate test code from the displayed options & then click the “Confirmed Tests” button.

Step 5: Preview the Filled-in Details

• After completing all the above mentioned steps, a short preview of the filled-in application form will be displayed on the screen. Thoroughly check the details and if any changes are to be done, go back to the required page & make the requisite modifications, and save those changes.
• After making any required changes, Confirm the short preview.

* Students must note that they cannot go back to the previous menu after confirming a short preview.

Step 6: Fee Payment

• After confirmation, pay the requisite Application Fee through one of the online modes of payment displayed on the screen.

Step 7: Selecting Exam Centre

• A list of available exam centres will be displayed after fee payment. Select one preferred test centre.

* For MBA / M.Tech programs, the application process will get completed after successful fee payment & students opting for these don’t need to select the test centre.

• After this, a Final Preview will be shown on the screen. Click the “Go to Home Page” button for completing the application process.

Step 8: Approval of Submitted Application Form & Download

• The application details of the students will be sent to the University for verification & confirmation that might take 3-10 working days. After approval, applicants can view & download / print their confirmation page from the Candidate’s Home Page.

* In case, the status of the application does not update to “Approved” within 5 days, students can get in touch with the Help Desk.

* If the Application Form of the CUSAT CAT Exam 2026 is found to be incomplete / faulty by the University, then they will send the details of the correction/s required to the applicants’ registered email address.

• Candidates who are willing to take admission in the M.Tech / MBA course have to complete their CUSAT CAT registration 2026 but are not required to attempt the exam.
• In accordance with “The Right to Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016”, the Persons with Disability (PwD) / Differently Abled Candidates (DAC) / Physically Handicapped students can claim the “special reservation” during filling in the application form by choosing “Differently Abled Candidate / Blind” according to the condition of the candidates.
