Aspiring candidates who look forward to attempting the MICAT 2026 should make certain that they fulfil the requisite eligibility conditions laid down by the conducting authority i.e., MICA - The School of Ideas, Ahmedabad.
According to the MICAT Eligibility Criteria 2026, students should have passed Undergraduate Degree / equivalent in any stream. The MICAT 2026 entrance exam will be conducted by MICA - The School of Ideas, Ahmedabad in 2 phases through CBT mode. The University-level entrance test will be held for a period of 2 hours and 15 minutes in English medium. As per the MICAT Exam Pattern 2026, the test paper will contain 3 sections namely Section A (Psychometric Test), Section B (Descriptive Test), and Section C (Divergent & Convergent Thinking, Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation, and General Awareness).
Students are supposed to answer a total of 224 questions. Section A will be a qualifying section whose marks will not be added to the final results. There will be no negative marking in Section B. For Section C, 1 mark will be awarded for every right answer & -0.25 negative marking will be done for each of the wrong answers.
The MICAT Admit Card 2026 will be available for download likely from 4th December 2025 for Phase I and from 22nd January 2026 for the Phase II. Students will be able to download the Call Letter for appearing in the entrance test by navigating ‘mica.ac.in’.

Cut-off marks are the minimum marks required for qualifying the respective exam / its individual sections. For the MICAT 2026, there will be sectional cut-off marks (percentile & raw scores) in the Section B & Section C (including its sub-sections). Moreover, if applicants qualify the cut-off marks for the Sections C only then their performance in the Section B of the entrance test will be assessed.
* Aspirants who look forward to getting admission in the PGDM course should be informed that emphasis is given to analytics thus, the Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation sub-section of the Section C may have a higher cut-off.

The 3-stage selection process for granting admission to the candidates / preparing the final merit list is discussed in detail below:

MICAT Counselling Process 2026
In the final list for the MICAT Seat Allotment 2026, 35% weightage will be given to the results of CAT / GMAT / XAT, 25% to MICAT scores, 20% to PI, 10% to GE, and 5% each to the students’ performance in Class 10th, 12th Standard & Graduation, and based on Extra-Curricular / Sports / Academic Diversity / Gender Diversity, etc.
The shortlisted aspirants have to accept the issued Offer Letter before the specified due date & opt for the program they desire to get admission in. Admission to the chosen program will be granted based on merit.
* If candidates are shortlisted for admission in both the courses then in such a case, they have to accept the admission offer for only 1 program & their candidature for the other one will be automatically cancelled.
Note: Once the students have selected a program, they will not be permitted to change it later. Also, the conducting authority has the right to make the necessary changes in the selection procedure.
Candidates who will qualify the MICAT 2026 will be eligible for admission in the Post Graduate Diploma in Management – Communications (PGDM-C) & the Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM). The MICAT Participating Colleges 2026 only includes MICA - The School of Ideas, Ahmedabad.
