NEET UG is held once a year by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The NEET result 2026 will be declared on ‘neet.nta.nic.in’. The admission seats of the MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BSMS, BUMS, and BHMS courses offered at the participating Institutes will be granted to only those students who qualify the entrance test.

The steps to check the NEET result 2026 are described below:

• Applicants should navigate the official website which is ‘neet.nta.nic.in’.
• They are then required to find the result link for NEET and press on the same.
• Then, candidates have to login using the requisite credentials.
• After this, the scorecard will be displayed on the screen.
• Students can take a printout of the marks cum rank card and also download and keep the same for further reference.

* It is to be noted that no provision for requests for re-checking / re-evaluation of answer sheets will be provided to the applicants.

The NEET entrance exam result of all candidates will be evaluated and prepared based on the final answer keys. The ranking criteria will be primarily based on the total marks obtained by the students and their percentiles.

If two or more students secure equal score or percentile then the tie between them shall be resolved for obtaining the NEET result 2026 as per the following criteria in the order of priority:

• More marks / percentile in Biology (Botany & Zoology).
• Greater score / percentile in Chemistry.
• Higher marks / percentile in Physics.
• Less proportion of number of attempted wrong answers and right answers in all subjects.
• Lower proportion of number of attempted incorrect responses and correct responses in Biology (Botany & Zoology).
• Less proportion of number of attempted wrong answers and right answers in Chemistry.
• Lower proportion of number of attempted incorrect responses and correct responses in Physics.
• At last, ties will be broken through a random process in accordance with the guidance of an independent expert committee.

The category-wise cut-off percentile specified by NTA for the NEET examination for admission in the Medical courses is as follows:

* The Central Government, in consultation with the requisite regulatory bodies, can lower the cut-off marks for admission for the respective academic year in case a sufficient number of students in the respective categories fail to obtain the minimum passing marks.
