The exam conducting body will probably commence the TANCET 2026 registration on 24th January 2026 for MCA and MBA courses. Aspiring candidates can register through the official website before the last registration date, i.e., 21st February 2026 (tentative).

The TANCET is an OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) based State-level Entrance Examination that is authorised by the Tamil Nadu Government & is held to offer admission to the Postgraduate Programs like MBA & MCA in various Colleges / Institutes / Universities of Tamil Nadu.

Students who wish to study MBA or MCA in the Anna University or one of its constituent Colleges or the University Departments / Government & the Government aided Colleges / Self-financing Colleges / Annamalai University / other participating colleges of Tamil Nadu must complete their TANCET Registration 2026 before the deadline. Before starting the TANCET Registration 2026, applicants must ensure that they fulfil the TANCET eligibility criteria 2026 prescribed by the conducting body (Anna University, Chennai).

Step 1: TANCET 2026 Registration

• Navigate the official website of TANCET i.e., “tancet.annauniv.edu”.
• Begin the Registration process by entering basic details such as Name (as per SSLC Marksheet), email id & password, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, and Choice of Examination i.e., MBA / MCA.
• Following this, the candidate will be successfully registered.
  

Step 2: Log in to fill the TANCET 2026 Application Form

• Log in using the email id (Login ID) & password (entered during the registration process) to start filling the Application Form.

*Candidates must be aware of the TANCET application form last date, and fill the form anytime before the due date i.e., tentatively in the 2^nd Week of February 2026.

Step 3: Fill-in the Details

• Here, fill in the Personal Information such as Gender, Address, Pincode, Community, Sub-Caste Code, Nationality, Religion, etc.
• Information about Educational Qualifications like the Registration Number & the Year of Passing, & other course specific details of SSLC / 10^th Standard, HSC / Diploma, & the Qualifying Degree must be entered correctly.
  

Step 4: Select the Test Centre

• Anna University conducts the TANCET exam in 15 different allocated Exam Centres. Choose any one of the desired Test Centre to appear for the entrance test.
  

Step 5: Upload the Documents

• After filling-in all the above information accurately, upload the required scanned documents in the prescribed format.

Step 6: Verification & Submission of the Registration Form
