Adi Sankara Training College is situated in Kalady, Ernakulam. It is a well known college with highly qualified teaching staffs and it provide students a quality education. Kalady is a place with lot of educational institutions. Among them, Adi Sankara Training College is the best. This college came under mahatma gandhi university. It is the number one B.Ed college in mg university. Basically I am located in Thiruvananthapuram. I was looking for a good college for my study and one of my friends suggest me this college. As she says I get only good experience there. The college provides us all the basic facilities like pure drinking water, bathroom facilities, etc. For the first time I went there for admission, I truly in love with the atmosphere. I like the total ambience of the campus. I met the teaching staffs, principal and wise principal their and after talking them I think I am taking a good decision. So I take admission there. They provide us hostel facilities. In my batch there are 100 students. I studied in Hindi department. There are 11 students in my class. The college management has a very good infrastructure for every student. The curriculum of the course is very fair and the exam structure there is semester system. And it is a professional course, and they keep the standards. We have uneven number of celebrations. There are Hindi, English, physical sciences, natural science, mathematics, etc. Qualification of the courses minimum a degree. College having a large number of female students. College hostel is very helpful for students like me living far away from campus. Also we get special leaves. We have a well maintained faculty also.

The full form of B.Ed is bachelor of education. This is a professional course. This course is mainly for aspiring teachers. Those who wish to be a high school teacher, then B.Ed is mandatory. Those students who completed their graduation or post graduation can apply for this professional course. Those who possess a B.Ed degree can teach both aided, and un aided schools. It is a course mainly aims to shape future teachers. This course prepares students for work as a teacher in various schools. This course mould and shape the caliber, capabilities, and qualities of students. Candidates who have qualified BA or B.Sc degree under university of Kerala or any other university recognized by the university of Kerala are eligible for Kerala B.Ed admission. There is a Mandatory score of 50% mark is necessary for applying the course. Teaching is a profession that creates, mould, and shapes a future generation. It is a highly paid professional job as well. Those who want to inspire children, their soul, and then it is a good professional course for them. It creates a pathway for young minds to aspire their dreams. Teachers are the role models of the society. A good teacher helps the students focus on their life goals and to complete various tasks in both academics and in life. The students can then focus on the expertise that they have and pursue them in the long run. Teaching is a profession which teaches students to be strong, independent, and self contented.

There are 18 teaching staffs and 6 non teaching staffs there. They all are high qualified teachers. They teach us very well. There is philosophy, psychology; main subject, technology, etc. are the subject for this course. For each subject there will be separate teachers. Class room teaching styles are very free. It is not an authoritarian classroom. Both students and teachers will involve in the teaching process.

No, there are no placement in our institutions. But they provide us internship opportunities near our college.

College provides hostel facilities for students. Hostel life is such a good memory. Hostel provides veg food. That is the only drawback. Hostel is well maintained and has all the necessary facilities. A well maintained infrastructure. There are hostel days in every year. We celebrate every events and celebrations like Onam, Christmas, Holi, etc.

College is situated in a very beautiful village. Buildings are very new with properly painted. There are almost 11-12 classrooms with full all facilities including projectors. There is a psychology lab, science lab, etc. Buildings are very strong. There is a smart classroom in our college. Well clean bathroom facilities, rest room for girl students, etc. are available.

The life in Sankara was always close to my heart and memorable. Even students with silent characters will be active enough after the completion of the course in Sankara. There we can get many opportunities in life. I got an opportunity to take in the army school Sree Sarada. It’s a big opportunity for me as a teacher. There are many clubs perform various activities their like eco club, language club, maths club, etc. Each academic year there is inauguration for each club. Magazine fest, arts fest, sports fest, living camp, tour visit, etc. are conducted in our campus. It enriches our way of academic entity.
