IIM Bangalore Campus Area is Around 100 Acres

IIM Bangalore has been one of the best things to happen to me. The Institute overall is fantastic, the teachers, subjects, the kind of network, and you get to learn a lot. The reasons I chose this was due to its curriculum. We get to learn a range of subjects from Marketing, Accounting, Statistics to Website Development, understanding Indian Culture, and Theatre while doing projects. The difference is that the course is designed from the ground up, by understanding the needs and requirements of corporate companies and what skills would be needed by the industry in the future. It focuses on holistic development offering both theoretical and practical skills.

Some of the Notable Factors About IIM Bangalore:
• BBA (Digital Business and Entrepreneurship) offered by Institute covers diverse range of subjects including Marketing, Accounting, Statistics to Website Development, Microeconomics and many others.
• Professors teaching in the department are same as those in MBA program & are quite skilled and knowledgeable. Their methods mostly include incorporation of case studies, theory, practical demonstrations & GDs (based on need of the subject).
• Extensive amenities are present for the students at the Institute’s 100-acre campus such as library, conference spaces, canteens, grounds, halls, and many others.
• Crowd is diverse & many fests are conducted throughout the year for students’ entertainment. Also, there are a numerous clubs available at the Institute.

I have chosen the Bachelor’s in Business Administration in Digital Business and Entrepreneurship. They conduct their own entrance test, which tests Quantitative ability, Verbal Reasoning, and General Knowledge. The admission is based on the cut off that is declared after the test from the pool of students who register themselves on their website and then according to the reserved seats criteria, the offer letters are rolled out. The course follows trimester system in which you have to give the exams every four months keeping aside the weekly quizzes and project submissions. The subjects are pretty wide ranging, we get to learn Design Thinking, Operations, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Microeconomics, Website Development, Spreadsheets, and the projects like the venture project prepare you to how to deal with customers in real life, how to market your product or offering under time constraints.

Fee for this three year fully fledged degree and are Rs. 4,50,000/- (total), this includes the books and tuition too, which is to be paid semester wise. When you register on their website, the fees for sitting for the exam are Rs. 3000/- for General category students and Rs. 1500/- for SC / ST / PwD students. In year 1, the fee is Rs. 1,25,000/-, for year 2, it is Rs. 1,50,000/- and for year 3, the fee is Rs. 1,75,000/-. Scholarships are available on need basis for reserved category students.

The faculty that teaches is the same that teaches their MBA students. For instance, Dr. Pavan Soni is our Design Thinking professor who also happens to be teaching at ISB Hyderabad. The method of teaching varies from subject to subject. Subjects like Design thinking, Entrepreneurship and Marketing are taught in a case based and theory style while subjects like Website Development are taught on screen. The professors are very hospitable and knowledgeable faculty, which is understood. They are very much approachable and very open to clearing doubts and open for discussions.

This is a relatively new program launched in 2024, so the first batch is yet to pass out i.e., 2027. There are many cells and clubs like the Academic Cell, which helps students to get the resources, quizzes and lectures. There is Partnership Cell, which responsible for conducting corporate seminars and conferences and build connections, which prove to bring extremely important insights and discussions as to what and how to proceed with our respective careers and what is going on in the corporate world.

The campus of the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore is equipped with state of the art facilities and infrastructure. Of course, it is one of the best campuses to be there in India. There is an abundant facilities ranging from canteens, halls, ground, library, conference halls, etc. overall whether and roads inside the whole campus are the best to look and roam around with. The campus is green and lush with serene views. It is good to be studying at a campus like this where students have their own world inside the campus and no or very little need to go outside for anything.

There are tones of events and fests going on every now and then. The business fest & the cultural fest are some of the best events that happen here and much more. The crowd is fantastic, we get students from every state and region of the country. As I mentioned, there are groups of 15 to 30 people which we call as learning pods where students come together to learn and teach each other on our weaknesses and get to know each other better.
