Among so many universities and colleges in Rajasthan SKD “Shri Kaushal Das University “ approved by UGC is one of the best private universities in Hanumangarh providing students the best education. This campus is not only providing education but also a symbol of a multi-discipline campus in Hanumangarh established in 2018. The SKD is providing education not only to Hanumangarh students but also to the nearby village students and I am one of them. SKD College offers no. of different courses and training programs like Bachelor’s in different subjects, masters in various streams. PHED programs are the most emphasized ones in the university. The courses and programs help the students to ensure holistic development among them. I am currently studying in this co-ed college and pursuing a bachelor’s degree in the Arts stream. As a student, I have noticed so many things about the college which includes both advantages and disadvantages. The faculty and staff of the college are very well qualified with high knowledge. The environment of the college is very well disciplined and manifesting. college not only focus on education but also on extra curriculum activities like annual functions, fests, and frequent educational sessions that help the student to build up their confidence by expressing innovative ideas. In the era of this past pandemic, the staff of the university tried their level best that it did not affect our studies. We were provided with online classes.

For admission, there is no entrance test required. The students who had passed their 12th standard by a minimum of 60% marks can get the chance to study in college. Now, the admission process is both online and offline mode. In any course, the students can choose subjects according to their interest. Currently, I am studying three subjects in my course geography, political science, economics for which colleges provide books of different publishers and also teachers provide well-explained notes and other study material and previous year papers to the students. Now, video lectures are also provided to the students who had taken private admission in the college.

The faculty is very supportive and well qualified with experience of 5 to 6 years. The faculty contains a vital knowledge in their specialised subjects that helps the student a lot to clear their doubt and enhance the knowledge. The college faculty provide extra hours to the students for their exams and for the competition exams too. They develop a friendly environment without any partiality among their students with positivity. From the first year onwards, we are getting the notes based study.

The placement facility is not yet started on the campus but it will start soon. The best thing about campus is it focuses on defense and so many students got selected in different fields like the Indian army, air force.

The campus also provides a hostel facility. There are separate hostel for boys and girls with the strength of near 270 students. There is a good facility of rooms and food. Every student is given the same treatment. Everything is fixed according to the timetable and discipline is more focused. For girls, there is ladies staff who are very supportive and helpful. SKD University is successful in developing a safe and healthy environment among hostel students.

The university spreads over 63 acres, with the great infrastructure facility of computer labs, geographical labs, auditorium, library, basketball court, sports facility, yoga clubs, gymnasium, etc. the classrooms are wide with cameras in each classroom. This all serve as a backbone of the infrastructure of the campus.

The good college life is given by this campus to me. I learned a lot from it. Recently on my campus on the behalf of women’s day there is a 15 days activity and sessions and many experts visited our campus. There were 26 members with PhD holders in their particular subjects. We, the student of this campus got the chance to interact with them which is a great opportunity for all of us. I am grateful that I got the chance to study on this campus with great peers and faculty that helps me a lot to enhance a good version of myself.
